Okay, so my high functioning Autistic daughter is cheering for the very 1st time, with Pop Warner, this year. The goal of her team is to make it to the Nationals @ Wide World of Sports in December. The cost is ASTRONOMICAL
($1200 per girl, although, to be fair, that includes flights, rooms, and tix to the parks so...) Anyway, she is NOT on a team that is specifically for differently abled kiddos
, so the rest of these teen girls are "averagely abled" lol. If she goes, I GO! So double the fundraising that needs to be done, for her to attend
.
Has anyone here been to this event? How overwhelming could it be?
Where do the teams stay (I'm assuming All Stars)?
Since I am considered a "team chaperone" there will be 2 other teammates in our hotel room with us.
The other teens on this team are very supportive of her, but
.....At Disney I assume everyone will be preoccupied.
Admittedly, I am a worry wart.
