We're going out of pocket this trip, no dining plan. We are only doing 3 "sit down" meals. Crystal Place, Teppan Edo and Sci Fi. Of course I pay for each person at CP but at Sci Fi and especially at Teppan Edo can my girls (5 and 7) share a meal? I know I would have to pay for extra drinks. The kids meal at Teppan Edo is $12 and it doesn't seem to even come with a drink. My kids will each eat about 3 bites. Do you think they'll let them share one meal?

yes sharing is fine at all TS restaurants ( except buffets )

:)

It may not be fine at ALL TS restaurants, especially if you are on the dining plan (there are multiple reports that Beaches & Cream will not allow dining plan users to share entrees, and one report that California Grill would not permit a child to share a meal with an adult). If you're out of pocket OR on the plan, it's going to be entirely up to the restaurant. I do not know about Teppan Edo but Sci Fi generally permits sharing.

I would worry about sharing at teppan edo b/c it is a habachi type place. I would think if you were taking up a seat for the "show" they would expect you to order a meal. I have no personal experiece with teppan edo, but this has been the case at other habachi places I have eaten at.

We are hoping to do this too on the dining plan. My kids eat like birds. Planning for them to share at Chef De France, Sci Fi, Kona and Tutto. Hoping they will let us at all those places. But I haven't really heard specifically if that will be ok or not.

The OP is not on the dining plan- she's paying out of pocket for all her meals.

You shouldn't have any problem with sharing meals at any table service place. I will warn you that your daughters will probably get more food than you would imagine. Most of the time, the kitchen will put extra of the side on the plates. Like if you ordered a burger and fries at Sci-Fi, your daughters would probably get half the burger and a full order of fries. At Tappan Edo, the chef would probably put just a little extra out on the habachi for them.

On our last trip, we had 2 adults share a meal at Tepan Edo. There was no problem, but we were paying out of pocket.

My kids usually share at a TS, and in fact have shared at Sci-Fi and it wasn't a problem. The buffet is where it probably won't fly as people above the age of 3 are charged per person.
We're going to Teppan Edo in February and I'm planning on having them share.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like my kiddos will be okay to share at Teppan Edo and Sci-Fi. Usually we are on the dining plan and I don't bother to have them share because I can't use the kid credits that are left over for anything but more kids TS meals anyway which just wouldn't work out for us. But when I have to actually shell out $12 per kid at Teppan Edo and doggie bags aren't an option, it's just a waste. Thank you for all your replies!:hippie:
