Has anyone ever done this with their kids after disney? I noticed in a Joann's flier that they are going to have a class this summer to do a disney 8x8 scrapbook. I saw the scrapbook and stickers etc at Joanns--very cute!!! I am not a scrapbooker and do not want to be, but I thought this would be cute and fun after the trip. Anyone use this stuff? Any tips?

We probably won't do the class since we are going the end of August--the class will probably be before that.

We made scrapbook/autograph books for my DDs after our first trip last Feb. We used the 8X8 books from Michaels. I took a variety of cardstock (you can buy "mat stacks" which are about 4.5 by 6.5 inches or just cut your own). I found a small flip top box (also at Michaels, I think) that kept them all safe and dry, and also provided a hard surface for the characters to sign on. Then we gave characters a piece of cardstock to sign with a black Sharpie. Tigger got orange, Cinderella got blue sparkly, etc. It's best to stick with solid colors, rather than prints.

When we got home, we put the autograph card (sometimes had to trim it a bit) on an 8X8 page, along with a photo of the kids with that character. I wrote a sentence or two about where we were or what the kids said, then the girls added stickers to decorate the pages. They turned out sooooo cute!

My biggest tip is to buy stuff a little at a time, using Michaels coupons, but don't go overboard if you're not going to be a hard-core scrapbooker. It's way to easy to spend $$$, then not know what to do with 200 princess stickers. Not that I know from experience or anything... :rotfl:

Don't forget to pick up all the "freebies" at the park: maps, napkins, confetti, etc. They're great additions to scrapbooks as well. Have fun!

I wanted to do a scrapbook from Michaels but I didn't think I would have the time so I made mini scrapbooks for each of my kids. I went to Michaels and bought a blue and pink 4x6 photo albums that have plastic covers and a place for a photo in the front. I got princess and Mickey Trip scrapbook stickers and put them on the front and inside in the back for autographs. There were a few pages in the back that are blank. We placed the Kwy to the World cards in the front photo pocket and they fit well! There is room next to each photo page to add stickers or write a few words. I also added a park brochure to the pages. It is a mini scrapbook and photo album in one that is about the size of an autograph book:)

We have put scrapbooks together after every Disney trip. I would check the weekly ads for Joanns, Michaels and Hobby Lobby to see who has their supplies on sale. You can check their ads online if they're not in your newspaper.

We do a little at a time too. Micheals just had their scrapbook papers 4 for $1 and it included the disney papers. So I stocked up. I think I'm going to make 6 x 6 books for our next trip. That way I can get 4 sheets of paper out of each 12 x 12 page.
