Daddy--"Is your room clean"

DD2--"yes"

Daddy--"Are you sure?"

DD2--"yes"

Daddy--"Let's go check"

So off they go to check.

Daddy--"You said your room was clean...why is it not clean?"

DD2--"It is clean."

Daddy--"How is it clean"

DD2--"Because (DD5) is cleaning it."

I have a good one from this morning too. The guy from the cable company was here to install our cable, and he had to run a new line to the house because the line that was there before was knocked down by one of the hurricanes last year. He couldn't do it alone, and asked DH to help.

DS4 was watching out the window? He asked "Why is Daddy being a workman? He doesn't work." :rotfl2:

When my DH came home from work yesterday he was greeted by our DS3.

DS3: Daddy, I showed my Woody at school today!

DH: You did?

DS3: I showed everybody my Woody at share time. They yiked it.

DH: That's my boy!

i work in a pre-school.

Yesterday we had asked the children to tidy up and they hadn't, so we all sat on the carpet and we sent certain children to go and tidy up properly.

My collegue sent a little girl into the house to tidy it up, and she started tidying up the table, a boy walked over and start helping her and the conversation goes as follows...

Girls leans over table and looks at boy sternly - 'have you been asked to tidy up'.
Boy looks
Girl points and says- well has she, has she?
Boy looks scared to death
Girls shouts crossly- 'well go and sit down then'!!!

Also a child told me she had dried her hands in the toilets under the hairdryer???
Oh and the new children decided on tuesday that the toilets had disappeared, when we had just put a differnt picture on the toilet doors, and that apparently makes them disappear.

Our six year-old woke up one morning last week in great distress. His rug burn had "molded" overnight! It took us a while to explain to him it was only a scab on his knee and nothing to be alarmed about.

Since she was toddler DD11 has told her Dad, "hee hee, you got yelled at", when ever he upsets me and I raise my voice to him. That's a silly joke that started between the two of them.

It was so cute the first time the tiny voice saying it and since I laughed she has continued to say it since.

My DD (6) always tells her Dad, "I am a girl, we can do more than one thing at a time, not like you Daddy!" Don't know where she got that! :rolleyes1

Years ago when I taught first grade, I had a kid come in one morning. He said his family had a surprise last night. His mom had a baby and no one knew she was going to have one, including his dad 'cuz he had a vasectomy already.
