Does anyone have information on the kids programs for Royal Carribean or Carnival? Which one is better? I sure wish that DCL had a 4 night western that included Grand Cayman or Cozumel. We are trying to plan a 4 night with another couple with kids and we want to go to either one of those places. I LOVE DCL, but the couple going with us has never cruised before, and it just seems a little expensive for them right now. So I am looking for alternatives, but am afraid that it just won't be the service, food, and family themed as DCL is. We are planning to go Oct 03, and will have 2 girls 11, and 1 boy 9 and 1 boy 5. Any advise about kids programs, etc would be great. Thanks

Visit www.royalcarribean.com and look at there oceaneers club info. On the larger ships the club area is 22,000 square feet! the voyager class ships also are much larger than disney and have an ice rink, mall, climbing wall, skating rink etc... There's no Mickey, and the activities and shows are more adult but the ports of call are the same and I think the ships are nicer........TAZ

The size of the children's programming area depends greatly on the ship. RCCL and Carnival both have decent children's programming and larger play areas on the newer ships; the main difference between them and DCL is the hours of operation and the fact that they don't have the option to leave the child in the programming for lunch and dinner, as you have with DCL.

My vote is for RCCL. The bigger ships have so much to offer a family and you won't be disapointed with the food, the service or the beautiful ships. If you go to www.cruisecritic.com you can read the boards for carnival and RCCL and ask questions from lots of people who have tried these 2 lines.

thanks for the info so far, I want to say also that I found a Key West/Cozumel Carnival Fasination ship for our dates, but RCCL website -to me- is a little hard to get around in. All I want is a price and destination answer for our dates. I found Carnival on Expedia of all places. Any more suggestions/advise? Thanks
