Ok, I know most people come to Disney and go to the parks if they have kids, but are there any programs at the resorts?

for example, we recently stayed at Marriot Harbor Lake Resort and they had several activities the kids could go to at the resort (some parents could drop kids off, others were 'family' activities), such as dance parties, fishing, scavenger hunts, etc.

Is there anything like this at any of the DVC resorts?

As far as I know, all of the DVC resorts offer similar activities. The schedule varies but is given at check-in. They have things like evening movies by the pool, bingo by the pool (daytime), various craft activities in the Community Halls (decorating ceramics, flower arranging, etc.), scavenger hunts, and so on.

The community halls have activities, but they aren't really drop off activities. The only real drop off activities are the kids clubs that open at about 4 or 5PM each evening.

Kidani has a drop off kids club. It was running early afternoon the day I saw them. All safari themed/animals etc.

They also have a pirate adventure at BCV where they take kids out loooking for gold on a boat and have a picnic. My kids liked it.

I think most DVC hotel has a child care for kids older than 3. If not, there is one close by.

Not really. They have some activities, but it's not for parents to drop off the kids and go elsewhere. More than likely the Community Hall there. No babysitting at Kidani or SSR unless you book it yourself. Jambo does have a kids' club, though.

I've heard that the Neverland club at the Poly would be a good choice for BLT owners, however, my youngest will be 3 next year. Anyone ever used the Fairy Godmothers? I really, really, really, doubt I would use them, but.... just in case.

Is this included if you put the children in the kids club at BCV? Or, is this something seperate that you pay for? Thanks...

Separate. And the kids clubs have fees as well. Most community hall activities are free, but some that have supplies involved have a small fee. Games by the pool or movies on the beach are free. None of the free activities are "childcare" activities - they all require that children who need supervision be supervised.

When we were at Kidani in June they definitley had a kids' club. At the time it was free because they were piloting it, so they did mention that they were going to start charging in the future "like at Jambo". I was in the community room with my son playing games - just hanging out together, and they were asking us (and others) if we wanted to sign up. Parents were not staying with the kids - they were dropping them off in the community room. Definitely not "babysitting" - I'm sure you couldn't go running off to the parks or anything, but they did not require the parents to stay in the community room while the kids were doing crafts/games etc with the program leaders. It was a nicely supervised activity - probably best for 4-9 years.
