I'm thinking of booking our children a Pirate Cruise for the first time (DD9 and DS6). What are the main differences in them, other than the resort they launch from? Do they all offer Uncrustables or are some of the meals different? I can't find a lot of details on them to know which one might be the best choice. If your kids have done one, which did you like best? Seems like a really fun thing for kids to do, as well as providing a couple of hours of alone time for mom and dad - we've never had that before at WDW. :goodvibes Any advice or info would be very helpful...thank you very much!!! :thumbsup2

My kids have done two, the one at the GF twice and the one at the YC/BC once. They both had the uncrustables with a juice & some other snack, I believe goldfish. My kids really enjoyed both but the one they did at the YC/BC took them hunting for treasure in the WS at Epcot & the kids thought that was really cool! DD is too old now but DS is 9 & would do either one again. they got the same type of goody bags from each & I believe they are all the same amount of time but just offered on different days.

My kids have done this twice from GF and will be doing it again this year. The last time was in October (2011). They no longer had the Uncrustables. Maybe a peanut alergy thing? They had only snacks. It was goldfish crackers and a rice crispie (I think). Anyway, I will give them a PBJ before they leave this year.

The kids loved it!

We did the one at POR last trip since we stayed at POFQ. Highly reccomend it!

Choose the one that is closest to where you'll want to hang out. There isn't really enough time to go somewhere and get back in time to pick them up, but there is enough time to do something close by.

We have done the one at the GF a couple of times with my son. He enjoyed it. I am thinking of doing it for my DD this next trip. I couldn't find current info the BC/YC one, I thought that one was discontinued? We have rented a mouseboat in the past while the cruise was going on. Nice way to pass the time.

It sounds like you are wanting one of the pirate trips where the kids go alone? If you want to splurge, the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise is so much fun for the whole family. We just did it this weekend and it was great. My little pirate-loving son was in heaven. I was afraid he would fall asleep on the boat that late in the night (fireworks were at 10), but the crew keeps everyone entertained and it was truly a highlight of our trip. It launches from the Contemporary.

Thank you all so much for the info! You are all very helpful!!! It sounds like all of the cruises are great. The kids are very excited about doing one of these for the first time. Thanks again! :-)

We just booked the kids for one at POR and they will only get a snack and drink, no Uncrustables. Guess that's only for the Deluxe peeps :confused3 No biggie though since they'd dock in by lunch time and we'd head straight to lunch as a family.

Our daughter is booked for the POR cruise in December - would love to hear about your kids' experience :) Have an awesome holiday!! :goodvibes

I booked the POR cruise for my twins this August. The boat leaves around 9:30 so I'm planning on having a good CS breakfast at the resort instead of quick in room breakfast beforehand.

My kids did both the GF Pirate Cruise and the BC/YC Albatross Cruise.
They had a ball on both, but all three preferred the BC/YC Cruise because you got to go to the WS at EPCOT before it opened.

This was a few years ago and at that time they did get uncrustables, juice and a snack. All of them loved the "pirate treasure" that they got at the end of both cruises.
