Kids need to know a lot of adults play vmk

Ah....BUT..... you really
You may look at my picture and think, oh sweet little girly Pink.... but I could actually be a 50 year old male pervert in real life for all you know! Pretty scary thought!!
I'm FEMALE!

I'm FEMALE!

I'm FEMALE!

(for anyone wondering...) :upsidedow

No I know you must be a female 1)I have a picture; the last known picture of my long lost but not forgotten Mickey Hat RIP (lying at the bottom of splash Mountain) definately a girl though you never know 100%.

But the biggest proof Pink is really a girl

2) No 50 year old man would ever think of wearing high heels all through magic kingdom for an entire day and walk again the next day like it was nothing:thumbsup2 . (Sorry Pink)

Well, they may be adults, but they sure act like kids! (refer to previous posts) LOL

As for labelling kids and adults on the game, that is exactly what VMK does NOT want to happen. It's far too easy to create an account and SAY you're a kid, there is no way for VMK to verify your information. Preditors WILL FIND A WAY! It really has to fall back to the parents to know what their children are doing at all times, not just on VMK. VMK does their best to make a safe environment for kids. There are a lot of adults who go the extra mile to ensure kids aren't giving personal information, but we can only do so much. Once that text is on the screen, everyone in that room can see what was written. If there happens to be a preditor in that room and a friend request accepted, nobody will know but VMK what transpires between them. If VMK is monitoring their chat, that is. Besides, how do you know for sure that really was a kid talking about school? See the dilemma? VMK doesn't know, we don't know. Is Pink really a girl? We can only take her at her word. It's the same on every site on the internet. I don't mean to sound harsh, but all you can do is request they stop talking about anything personal, or as Aengus mentioned, report them for their own safety.

Wow, Belle has met me in real life and she's still not 100% sure I'm a girl! ROFL! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You just can't get over my high heels, can you? :rotfl: I think you're secretly in awe of me ;)

I don't know if any of you have kids or not, but running to the computer helps keep me sane. I am at home with my 3 year old and 10 month olf and I love them dearly.

I have come across kids in the past on vmk exchanging personal info and have usually mentioned to them to stop. Most of the time no one knows I am an adult unless they stop and really talk to me. I was raised at WDW, got engaged there, and worked there for a few years. I will love disney til the day I die and I will always be a kid at heart.

By the way, I prefer ship battle over flag only because there are so many people who don't know how to play flag the right way to get as many credits as possible. ;)

Capture the Flag is for girls. That's all I'm saying. Girls can play ship battle, even like it. But boys don't play flag... ever. Pirates don't capture flags and they don't leave enemy ships unsunk. pirate:

No, you prefer Capture the Flag over Ship Battle. That means your definently a girl!
haha, is that the fail-proof test? (thinks of vmk friends for a second) Ah! You might be right about that! pirate: Very interesting observation.

But boys don't play flag... ever. Pirates don't capture flags and they don't leave enemy ships unsunk. pirate:
omg, you are killing me today! My husband has just recently started to get into VMK (what took him sooo long?!). When we play Capture together he says to me, "What do you mean I can't shoot at him until you get to base? That's why I have ammo! I want to sink anything that moves!" Boys....... :goodvibes

On a serious note: Kids reading this, please remember that just because someone is on DIS or any other VMK-related board and seems to be fun, caring, helpful, and protective means NOTHING about whether they are truly "safe." It is sad to have to say, but that is EXACTLY what someone who is trying to attract a kid to them would set him or herself up as appearing to be.

I know I am trust-worthy and harmless, but you do not. I have met many fellow VMKers IRL, but I have never met any under 21 unless they were with their parents and always in very public places.

Kids DO need to understand adults play VMK. Many of us because we enjoy Disney, the game, and the friendship. Sadly, a select few because they love being close to kids. Identifying who is and who is not a kid takes away an element of the safety that Disney has put in place.

The topic of "can you truly trust anyone?" as a whole saddens me, but it's a reality of the world we live in today, I suppose.

what about us old people who constantly have to show our id? :rotfl:
hehe When I was 21, I had to show id and was upset about it. When I was 25, I didn't and was upset about it. Not sure which is worse. :rotfl:

It makes you all feel better about yourselves when you make fun of me doesn't it?

Yup!! :thumbsup2

Hmm.... EVER???

I think this thread should stray from the "is Pink really a girl" conversation to... is KrazyPete really a boy? :teeth:

You are so wrong Crazy and would make a terrible, terrible pirate. :lmao:

Pirates don't sink enemy ships, if they did, they would lose their plunder. So, I'm guessing pirates plunder the ship, keep the ship, take the flag and put the flag to good use like toilet paper. :thumbsup2

Now Navies are a different story. They sink the enemy ships!

I still like you.

To Be Honest I think VMK needs two servers, One for children and the other for the more mature VMK Community. I enjoy meeting adults on VMK because they are a lot more friendly and trustful than others and call it crazy but I can usually tell who is an adult and whos not. Now kids don't get me wrong some of you i enjoy being friends with but immaturity is rampant in VMK and sometimes I do wish it was an older age group. I am 16 so i consider myself in between

pirates plunder the ship, keep the ship, take the flag and...
and bring that flag back to base! Yes! It's Capture the Flag!

Come play, KrazyPete! I wouldn't have to post so much if you would only join me! :pirate:

ETA: Why does every thread we're on turn into a big Flag debate... :confused3

You make pretty good points for a girl. So I'll disregard your slandering of my pirate skills. :goodvibes

I have to say, for a 50 year old male pervert..

Girlfriend, you look marvelous!!! :thumbsup2

Oh wow. Note to self...Inform my pirate matey that he is indeed a princess. princess:

When I see kids virtually flirting with each other and sharing personal information, I first report it then gently remind them it is against the VMK values. If they talk back (which they often do) I ask them how their mummy or duh duh would feel about them sharing that information to a stranger online. If they still talk back (which they often do) I tell them to go get their mummy or duh duh so I can tell them that their child is sharing personal information. That usually reults in a drive by insult shot my way.
meh, I've been called worse. :scratchin

Real Pirates play capture the flag ;)

I think that kids should know that there is people older than them playing vmk, and hopefully they aren't stupid enough to believe some of these crazy people out there.

The only problem with that is that it would cost money.... as vmk being a free game as it is.... the is no way they could do that unless start charging for the game...

Yup!! :thumbsup2
