kids ID tag

Hi all. I recall reading a post where someone put a bracelet or some kind of tag on their kid with their cell phone #. I'm looking for ideas on what kind of tag would work?

Thanks. I don't have time to order something custom-made like that. Anyone else have any ideas?

I've read where some people get a pet id and engrave the info, then tie it on the shoelace. I'm not sure if they engrave it on the spot though. Another idea may be to check the mall if you have one nearby. With the holidays there is bound to be one of those engraving kiosks set up, they might have something small like that. I'm not sure what age your child is, but I've put my # on an index card & laminated it then my dd kept it in her pocket. This may not work w/ really small children though.

Go to Wal-Mart or Pet-Smart and locate their dog ID tag machine. For $6 you can pick a cute tag...the machine makes it in under 2 minutes for you..put whatever you want on it and the place the ID tag on a clipable keychain on your child, tie it to their shoelaces, or we have done the telephone cord kinda keychain that is like a bracelet, but we put it on the child's ankle! It's easy and they kids love them. After the trip is over we attach them to backpacks!
