Just noticed Leger have a superb offer of "Kids Go Free" during May & June.
Includes Eurostar, accomodation and park tickets.
Holidays must be booked by April 30th. :goodvibes

Wow - that's unusual to get free kids in the summer season!

I'm hoping that they have some good offers on later this year - Christmas season would be nice :cloud9:

We've decided against another holiday this year in favour of a new bathroom suite and some general house maintenance, although being an old house I will probably still be saying that in 10 years time. :rolleyes2

But I'll let you into my little secret :grouphug: after 18 years I finally took the plunge and haven't had a cigarette for:
Two weeks, two days, 23 hours, 6 minutes and 48 seconds. 339 cigarettes not smoked. Life saved: 1 day, 4 hours, 15 minutes.
Saving £84.81.
I think that by Christmas I might be able to afford a little treat for us all. :woohoo:

Jill, I am really impressed. :yay: DH gave up smoking 18 years ago and I know its not easy, so well done!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thanks for the good wishes Elaine, I am using patches during the day which I'm sure are helping and my 2 DS's are being such a big support, Liam reminds me every morning to put my patch on and they're both so proud of me  I couldn't go back to it again now and let them down.

Steve's quiz has been a godsend too for helping me keep busy - hence the long and involved answers he's been getting, sorry Steve, but it's all in a good cause.

well done and good luck :wizard:

great deal..however I am glad this is one we can not make use of or I would feel a bit sick.
we can not go may/June as my sister is doing her GCSE and the eurostar is to far away with manchester airport being almost on our doorstep.

Jill well done on your lifestyle change and the incentive of something nice to reward everyone with.
Advice I was given 3 years ago was that Vitiman C reduced the cravings. Not sure if it was medically sound but the office bought be kiwi fruit and satsumas and everytime I felt pressured these help. Good luck and try to stay away from smokers and environments to help you through this. Good luck :)

Hang in there - after 23 years (I did start when I was 12) I chucked it in nearly two years ago. Best thing I've ever done - although craving not entirely done yet - with all the smoking at DLP I was sorely tempted. Interestingly, I've turned into the worst kind of ex-smoker and hate smoky places now - but it didn't annoy me like normal at DLP.

Well done Jill!

Me too - I quit a few weeks ago (can't remember the date but sometime in March) as did DH.:goodvibes

You will really deserve that trip come Christmas!

Really well done Jill, and you too Hazel!!! :cheer2: It's frightening how much the cost of cigarettes adds up - so how much nicer to use that money for something like Disney. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone, yes Reid - Vitamin C is still recommended and I'm drinking a carton of orange juice a day, along with my own weight in sweets,

Well done Rosie, you and DH are a month or so ahead of me, my DH doesn't smoke and I don't around the children so home is easy, I can't smoke in work and I'm starting to wonder how I managed to get through so many in a day :confused3

The original intention was to give up at DLRP, (but I forgot to pack patches and didn't think I could go it willpower alone) surprisingly I've never had a problem at the parks, on previous trips I've gone down to a couple of cigarettes a day, when we're there - I always request non smoking hotel rooms, tables in restaurants, etc. because of the kids and I get very annoyed at other people smoking where they're not supposed to be especially in the queueing areas. I think that's something DLRP need to address next, especially as they've taken the plunge and banned smoking from all restaurants.

I've found this need little counter which is on all the computers I use at home and work so I'm keeping a constant tally, it's great to see the money pot going up :)

Two weeks, three days, 22 hours, 19 minutes and 8 seconds. 358 cigarettes not smoked, saving £89.65. Life saved: 1 day, 5 hours, 50 minutes.
