anyone know how to make the Bellabebeco Gaucho Pants? is it a rectangle strip work or are the strips flared?
TIA
Lori

You know we wanna see the whole outfit modeled! Great job on the shoes!

Hope it's ok if I use them too? I like the NBC outfits, but never had the desire to make one since I do no like the movie (sorry:guilty: ). But now that dd16 has seen some, she is dying for me to make one for dd2. I'm just waiting for her to decide on fabrics, she keeps changing her mind.

Ok, now for my latest. This is my first attempt at Mickey heads, and I think they turned out ok. I posted an up close pic of my stitches so I can get some feedback on if this is what they are supposed to look like. I forgot to add stabilizer to the back, thankfully they worked ok. The pants I found at a yard sale while on my search for "practice clothes" and the top I made using the justtutes? pattern. What do you think?

I love this! Purple is my favorite color!!

I hate to do so much for Makayla, and not my grandson Nicholas (our little Russian miracle)...he is 3 and we are going to WDW in Dec with him and his mommy and daddy....What would you suggest I can make for him? I got some dino fabric...he loves dino's...what boy doesn't? Anyone have any photos to share?

Keep the pictures coming...love them.

I finally caught up and I wanted to answer your questions about things for boys.

I have made rompers and embellished overalls for my little boy who is three also.

Also there are some patterns for button down shirts that are adorable. I think you can see photos of them by going to the first page of the post and looking at the pictures on photobucket.

The Romper pattern can be pants too not just shorts. Since you are going in December you can get long overalls too. I know my Children's place had long overalls. I got my short overalls at Wal-Mart. The good thing about working with the smaller sized overalls is they often have snap crotches so you don't have to take them apart and sew them back together.

Have fun creating things for your Grandbabies. Your little Granddaughter is adorable.

Do you mean this one? I swear, she's using the troll's nose to keep from falling off his foot but the photo definitely looks like something else is happening. ;)

Holy Guacamole!!!! That is all so good! Is that MODA fabric? That would look really cute on my dd.... :rolleyes1 Prepare to be copied :cool2:

Aimee! Those shoes are so cute! I'd be a paranoid wreck that my dd would step in motor oil or something! I'd call them stroller shoes! :cheer2:

You did an AWE-SOME job!!!! :yay:

If this is the girl I'm thinking of, I do think it's natural for her. From what I've heard, I don't think her mom would intentionally have her do that. It's amazing how much kids pick up without the adults realizing so the girl may be doing it more consciously as she's gotten older.

I know this is OT but I have to say that the way that little girl models is a bit provacative and it disturbs me. There are a few other little girl models on Voldemort that pose in a very adult way and it just sickens me.

aimee - Your daughters are beautiful!

lisa - zoe is so adorable and has so much personality! it comes through in your candid shots. Mr. Silly (he's a trip report writer on here) takes pics with his and his son's hands in the troll's nose in Norway.
heh.

tnmom - wow. I can't believe you found those pants at a garage sale and were able to match the top so well! great job on your applique.

jessica - the ribbon turkey is just too cute!

I am so excited! Today I can get back to working on outfits for us! We leave in less then 3 weeks and honestly I don't have one created! Here is what I had to finish up, this was a request and nothing I would have done on my own. Honestly I like it alot better then I ever thought I would. I do like the turkey, but not so much the rest of it! The person I made it for absolutely loves it so that is what counts!

Bib pumpkin and turkey can be switched to wear either or.

And here is a shirt to match a tutu tulle skirt. I love the shirt!

To whomever asked a page or 2 back about sewing on jeans. I open up all of mine. I cannot imagine trying to sew up the leg without doing so. But saying that I did have to fix a pair of my son's once where he fell on concrete and ripped the stitches out, I kind of had them inside out, but not really and just pulled the pants leg up where the needle is. It was only 2 straight lines I had to fix though. I could never turn or twist much with it that way.

and thank you for the post to the little girl missing. I can only imagine what the family is going through right now.

I LOVE this! I'm going to CASE this one for sure! Very creative with the turkey!

This her first birthday. (This photo proves she wore the dress twice. :rotfl: )

th_SopheesFirstBirthday031.jpg

Funny.... I always get a bad time because my neighbors think Delaney only wears her clothes once....that's not true mostly:rolleyes1 Many she wears twice:rotfl:

It's easy to do w/little ones..Now my boys would be happy if they could wear the same shirt every day! I don't buy near as much for them anymore because they complain if it's "nice" and still has a tag. I have to cut them off before they see them or they fight me putting it on.

No outfits to look for yet (unless I make some kind of baby on board t-shirt for DD.... anyone have any ideas??) I'm just storing up ideas so when this one is finally born, I can go like lightening on the sewing projects! I already have the fabirc

How about a shirt that says "Magic Happening" or "Magic Inside" w/a mickey head embroidered or a "baby" character embroidered of some sort...I can't think now of one, I'm brain dead at the moment......

Do you mean this one? I swear, she's using the troll's nose to keep from falling off his foot but the photo definitely looks like something else is happening. ;)

Thank you!

<--- me blushing. LOL

I don't know about Rodeo Drive but I am working with a woman to try to get a children's clothing line launched. It's still in the planning stages so I'm not counting any money yet but it's an awesome opportunity even if we don't hit it big.   We're trying to find a reliable factory to manufacture the garments. We'd hoped to have our first collection ready for Spring of 2008 but it's looking more likely that we'll go for Fall 2008. There's so much more to it all than I'd ever considered but it's something I dreamed of doing since high school... although at that time I wanted to design for adults but doing kid's clothes is definitely more fun.

The pic is too funny...Definately one that will bring lots of teasing as she grows up.....

Make sure you post here and give us all the details when you are official...I'm sure you'll have lots of business. I have a friend that owns a children boutique I'd be happy to mention to her about carrying your line.

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND CHECK OUT THIS THREAD
I can't imagine what this mom is going through right now...

Way too cute....I may have to break down and buy this fabric even though I promised myself no more fabric until I learn to sew.......

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone please tell me how to multi quote and shrink down the pics and quotes ?? I want to comment on all these cut outfits just posted, but I don;t want to take up so much room!!

THANKS

To multi quote - see the " symbol(the quote symbol - I'm sure there's a proper word for those but I don't remember it) at the bottom right of the post next to the quote button - just click on that for every post you want to quote and then when you are ready to respond, click "reply" on the left hand side and all your quotes will be there. Then just look were the
begins and ends and type your comments...

As for shrinking pics type "th_" right before the name of the pic. When you quote the pic it will show as a http:// gag;ajkg. hglagj;a.disney.jpg[img]
type the th_ after the "." and right before the word "disney" in the example...Does that make sense???

You know the first day of school has gone better than I thought. I did not cry although I felt like I was going to throw up. DD loved it and kicked DH and I out of the classroom.

Everyone commented on how cute and coordinated she was:cutie: She was a little overdressed compared to the other kids but . . . that is how she is comfortable dressing. We call her the Queen of the Sundress. I really think she is going to love school.

Sorry, she does not speak monkey. I guess I failed her:rotfl2: Her Daddy called her Princess Sock Monkey today. That did not go over well.

Stroller Shoes:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I love it. Only if I could get Princess Sock Monkey to sit in the stroller.

Try to notice the necklace. I made it too. I has monkeys!

Hmmmm. I'm kind of bugged by this too. Not the makeup or pouty lips, though. I don't mind artful poses to model the clothing. BUT I have seen some that were a little bit too grown up looking and made me sad. The line between artful modeling and too-grown-up is fine. Sadly, these days there are sick-adults that like looking at little girls posing as grown ups too much. Which makes me want to move to a deserted island to raise my kids sometimes. I can't even watch the news sometimes! :guilty:

Jenn-

I always hear about how much clothes my girls have! It gets old. It is mostly with my Dad's girlfriends family. She has kids my age and they have kids too. One of the grandkids said I have never seen your daughter in anything other than a dress. My answer was well- that is what she like to wear.

I know it was brought up not long ago but, I am very specific with how I dress my girls. I want to make sure they are neat, clean and presentable. I know it sounds kind of funny but I want the outside to reflect the inside. They are great girls and the truth is first impressions count.

Ummmmmmmmmmmm..... ok...... I think that after reading that a couple of times I get what it is that I need to do..... now we'll just see how very smart I am won't we ?!?!? :confused3

Thanks for the tips!

OK.... taking on the newly received info on how to multi quote on the DIS, I will now attempt my first multi quote EVER!!!

Oh man..... I'm really scared!!

You may be able to get her into the stroller if you teach her monkey!! Geesh!!!! Everyone knows that!!

I totally understand what you're saying Momma! I don't watch the news myself much these days because everything seems so negative and bad.

Good for you Aimee!! I have always subscribed to the belief that you don't have to have everything, and be of the latest style etc, but you should always be clean and neat looking in your appearance. The outside does reflect the inside in many ways.

OK now.... let's see if I did this multi quote thing right (I'm gonn a be so embarassed if I didn't!)

OMG!!!! I am such a dork!
I can't even multi quote right!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well...... maybe I'll try again, and maybe I won't! Just depends on wheteher I want to humiliate myself :rotfl: again! LOL!!!!

Here, here! I have the same problem - but you know what? My kids - I get to dress them HOWEVER I WANT! (at least until they're old enough to start fighting me on it!).
