"wierd pouty lips" LOL - I was wondering too why she more often than not has the pouty lips instead of a smile.

If this is the girl I'm thinking of, I do think it's natural for her. From what I've heard, I don't think her mom would intentionally have her do that. It's amazing how much kids pick up without the adults realizing so the girl may be doing it more consciously as she's gotten older.

I think the pout looks very natural on her, but I see so many other little girls copying "the look" and I can't say it looks natural on them.

Do you mean this one? I swear, she's using the troll's nose to keep from falling off his foot but the photo definitely looks like something else is happening. ;)

Thank you!

<--- me blushing. LOL

I don't know about Rodeo Drive but I am working with a woman to try to get a children's clothing line launched. It's still in the planning stages so I'm not counting any money yet but it's an awesome opportunity even if we don't hit it big.   We're trying to find a reliable factory to manufacture the garments. We'd hoped to have our first collection ready for Spring of 2008 but it's looking more likely that we'll go for Fall 2008. There's so much more to it all than I'd ever considered but it's something I dreamed of doing since high school... although at that time I wanted to design for adults but doing kid's clothes is definitely more fun.

Please follow your dreams! Listen to all the princesses! They always tell you to follow your heart!

I KNOW your were meant to do that!!! Shirley you'll be a huge success. Soooo much goes into a successful business. Sounds like you're on your way!

I think we all have a picking the troll's nose picture...or soon will have!

The other pictures are so sweet. Honestly, warn her if I ever meet you guys, I am SO gonna hug her and squeeze those yummy cheeks. I won't be able to contain myself! (I promise I'm not a weirdo!!!)

MY dd3 does the tongue thing too. I should post my many bloopers. Like when she said she was "shaking her money makers" OHHHHH! I promise I have no idea who taught her THAT! So smart to save them for the teenage years....

The sock monkey outfit is complete!!!

Here you go. I have to get up in five hours to get DD ready for school the last thing I needed to do tonight was paint shoes!!!! I am glad I did.

Minnie (and Tink in the other photo) is painted on the fabric. I did that before I learned to applique. I love the detail I can get with painting but some people worry paint will fade or wash off so applique does better for me.

If anyone is interested, here's the back view that also shows it with the skirt to add length and more ruffles. I think if I did this again, I'd do capris or just add the ruffles to the dress. I did like the color the plastic pony beads added to the ties. (Notice the "Minnie ear" hair, too? ;))

This is just amazing I can not beleive you painted it. You did a great job. Well done.

I promised this to Griz about a week ago. Sorry it took so long. The first is pretty simple. They second two are more complex and the last of Jack and Sally is my favorite.

Lisa - I KNOW you'll make it! I can't wait to purchase your line. And I'll be saying "I 'knew' her when..."

Aimee - LOVE the shoes! What a terrific outfit. Hope the first day of school goes great!

I am so excited! Today I can get back to working on outfits for us! We leave in less then 3 weeks and honestly I don't have one created! Here is what I had to finish up, this was a request and nothing I would have done on my own. Honestly I like it alot better then I ever thought I would. I do like the turkey, but not so much the rest of it! The person I made it for absolutely loves it so that is what counts!

To whomever asked a page or 2 back about sewing on jeans. I open up all of mine. I cannot imagine trying to sew up the leg without doing so. But saying that I did have to fix a pair of my son's once where he fell on concrete and ripped the stitches out, I kind of had them inside out, but not really and just pulled the pants leg up where the needle is. It was only 2 straight lines I had to fix though. I could never turn or twist much with it that way.

and thank you for the post to the little girl missing. I can only imagine what the family is going through right now.

Hope it's ok if I use them too? I like the NBC outfits, but never had the desire to make one since I do no like the movie (sorry:guilty: ). But now that dd16 has seen some, she is dying for me to make one for dd2. I'm just waiting for her to decide on fabrics, she keeps changing her mind.

Ok, now for my latest. This is my first attempt at Mickey heads, and I think they turned out ok. I posted an up close pic of my stitches so I can get some feedback on if this is what they are supposed to look like. I forgot to add stabilizer to the back, thankfully they worked ok. The pants I found at a yard sale while on my search for "practice clothes" and the top I made using the justtutes? pattern. What do you think?

Well, just look at these thumbnail pics of my darling granddaughter (who is the love of my life)....she is so darn cute with that curly hair and big blue eyes, and whenever you go to take her picture, she gives this cheesy grin and squints....I don't know what she is posing for....but it is never a natural smile...and although she will be 3 in Jan she only wears a size 2T if I take it in, a size 6 shoe (infant size???) and is a tiny little thing....it is hard to make her a really beautiful princess gown...love that gold gown of Lisa's Zoe...Can someone tell me how to post a photo of my finished outfits? Can't for the life of me do it...

Was so thrilled to find the computer program to add onto my Brother Disney embroidery machine at Wallyworld last night for only $68 on clearance...and those T strap canvas sneaks to paint for $3 for Makayla...

I hate to do so much for Makayla, and not my grandson Nicholas (our little Russian miracle)...he is 3 and we are going to WDW in Dec with him and his mommy and daddy....What would you suggest I can make for him? I got some dino fabric...he loves dino's...what boy doesn't? Anyone have any photos to share?

Keep the pictures coming...love them.

Lisa I can't wait to see your line of clothing. I am like everyone else...have to be one of the first to have something from our friend Lisa who we knew back when.....you will be famous one day! I admire your ambition. My family was always after me to start a business with my creations, but I only really enjoyed seeing my daughters in them. And I don't know if I could take someone criticizing my work. For people who don't sew or knit or whatever, they really can't appreciate what goes into it!

How do you make the pieces interchangeable? How do they connect? I think the turkey is very cute. I may need to CASE him.

I thought I quoted you on my previous post, but don't know what happened. I  your overalls!!!!!!!! I've been trying to think of a Thanksgiving outfit for dds, but haven't had much luck. I might CASE this!!!

Also, I hesitated to post this because the pics aren't that great. But, I tried to make this tutu skirt and it looks poofy. I've not had any luck with that pattern and I'm done with it!!!!! Anyway, I made another peasant top and I'm liking that style! DD8 loves it, so that's all that matters.

You have to upload your pic to a photo hosting site - I use photobucket. After I upload the pic, then I go to the edit portion of the photo and resize to the size that says website, email. After you have done that, there will be several links listed underneath the pic. Go to the bottom link (has an IMG prefix on it) and click on it (it will turn yellow and say "copied"). Then come here and "paste" the link that you just copied into a thread response.

Nana if you are out there and don't mind, how do you do the bandana for the mickey head. I only want to do it for Dallas and not to sell. That is your trademark!

On the turkey, case away! It was not my idea. Wish I could take credit for it. The lady sent me a picture, not sure if it was a friend or where she got the idea from. I changed it up a bit, especially the feathers, the picture she sent had all the ribbons straight on and I didn't like it as well.

There is velcro sewn onto the overalls and then a strip on the back of the pumpkin and turkey, so it velcros on and off. I think the idea was good, but that left the materials limited in my mind. I needed the pumpkin to stand up and not sag so went with felt, which to me the orange colored felt stands out too much from the rest of the outfit. The turkey I think is fine with the felt. I guess if I wasn't in such a hurry I could have figured something different out.

I love all the pictures of everyone's work!!! Lisa, your work is absolutely perfect and I hope that your clothing company dream comes true!!!

Someone in a group that I belong to made this button bow tutorial on you tube. It's for dog collars that she makes but is great for hairbows too.

I love the peasant top too! I really like the halter tops for the little ones, but I think the peasant top looks more grown up and my daughter can't wear anything strapless to school so I think it is more versatile. I think your outfit looks great. I love how you did the top!
