Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 3

I found one more but only the jeans are "familiar"

Cinderella Hand-painted Jeans + Disney Top 4/4T

(I don't paint much any more.)

I hope you enjoy it! When I look at it now I wish I'd done some applique on the top but after Minnie, the letters and then ALL those hearts, I ran out of steam on the applique. LOL

At our local store they are near the hats, purses, umbrellas, etc. It seems an odd place but I don't know where else they might fit better.

I felt bad for the seller because she didn't use "boutique" or "resell" in her listing - both of which I consider critical keywords used by all experienced with custom boutique.

Thanks and don't feel too bad for the seller I'm guessing there's more than 2 of us watching this one...I'll scoop it up if I can.....

this is adorable  - very eye catching and although it is very similiar to others things shown here (mickey head shirt, twirl skirt) it is sooo different....I am sure it will get lots of raves when it is worn !!!!

Thanks, I really wanted this because of that. I just fell in    with it! I'm saving it until april when we go for spring break, it will be my daughter's 1st birthday.

Okay, ladies and gentlemAn - Here are my first couple of creations. They are nothing compared to what some of you can do, but this is my first attempt at sewing since 8th grade home-ec and I'm teaching myself so, not bad. Both of my girls have identical ones, but oldest DD is at school so youngest is my model today and only had enough patience to try on the Winnie the Pooh one on one more time (please excuse the hair - it's cut even and even gets combed once in awhile but she had just woken up). I have plans for a Little Mermaid tiered dress, a Finding Nemo peasant shirt, and a Mickey Mouse Retro fabric (that cool pink fabric from Waldemort (to steal your phrase) to be shirred on the top for a dress with black and white polka dot ruffled fabric on the bottom. I need to stay at the sewing machine, or I won't get it all done even though it's all fairly easy stuff...

So, here goes...

This was my very first creation and it's not perfect, but it's done to steal the popular phrase. Actually, it's not done. I've bought purple ribbon to change out and purple fabric to ruffle or pleat at the bottom as well. It needed more "schmaltz"...

This is the Mickey head pillowcase pattern I used - DD4's is a dress and DD6 wanted a shirt. These will also have a black ruffle added to the bottom of both. This was also my first attempt at appliqueing (sp?). Not bad for my first time if I do say so myself.

The third is one that gave me a little trouble - I tried to follow the instructions for the halter pillowcase dress but I ended up having to fudge my way through and made it a little smaller than I would have liked, but DD4 loves it and that's what matters. DD6's came out pretty much perfect...This picture makes the pleating look off but it's not and the brown on the ribbon is a much better match to the fabric than in the picture:confused3 I'm kicking myself now for not buying brown thread for the hem of the pleats, but I was just anxious to finish it and didn't want to make a run to the store...

Anyhow, thanks for all of your tips and ideas...you have truly inspired me and my girls are now almost as excited about their clothes they are going to wear at WDW as they are about the trip itself. :woohoo:

Great job! Now you are in trouble though - you're hooked! If you are like me, soon you will not be able to sleep - all you can do is think about the next creation!

Lisa, you want to know what is funny? Her other auction has the word custpm in it's listing?:confused3 I bid on both. Hope there are no bidding wars! Her shipping at 10 bucks is tough though, but being the savy voldemort-er (ebay-er) I bid with that shipping in mind!

Nothing real big - but I did make some ribbon jean capri's to match DD's HSM top. I am thinking of adding the letters HSM in rhinestones on the leg.

If you will go to the very first post of this thread, towards the botttom of the post there are two links - they are in bold type. One is a link to a photobucket account where all of the pics of everything from this thread have been posted. That way, you won't have to dig through almost 800 pages to find a pic of something that you want to look at again.
Under that link is a link that I believe says BOOKMARKS or something similar. If you click on that link, there are tons of bookmarks inside it that are links to all kinds of ideas, resources, patterns & such. It is a VERY valuable tool. Just about anything that has been discussed in this thread is there. The author does such a FABULOUS job of keeping it up. I'd be lost without it!

I found it, thanks! And she does a great job organizing all this for sure. I am not an organized person, one look at my sewing room will tell you that. lol

It looks like you could get lost for hours checking out everything. Thanks again.

Yep it ended....I was looking for it too....Grrr I usually keep the ones I watch quiet.:rolleyes1 :rotfl: Now I'm regretting asking because I'm sure everyone is watching...:rotfl:

So I finally have something to share. I didn't make it (still can't sew) they came in the mail but they are so cute I just wanted to share.

Those are too cute! I love the pink and ebony Ironworks. That print is one of my favorites in almost all the colors they made it (and I have most in my stash LOL). I so miss dressing a little one so this thread helps feel that need. :goodvibes Being almost 6 years old and 48" tall, Zoe doesn't count as little anymore. :(

I definitely mentally add shipping into the price before I bid. I learned after a few won auctions that shipping can really make a bargain much less of a deal. ;)

GREAT! One more thing that DD NEEDS! Do a search on "that site" for "custom boutique holiday tiara". Think of the Disney possibilities!! All those polymer beads that could be attached!

What a fun idea! The ones in that seller's listings look like they are actually baked onto the tiaras but I bet beads could be glued or wired on instead.

And, someday, I hope to get out and see your DH too. :thumbsup2

Friday Sept. 7th: Tre Amici's @ The Bunker (7:00pm) Ybor City...check his page for the address. it's a CD release party for a friend, B's playing some and playing w/ Geoff (whose party it is) on a few songs, should be a packed house. cool little cofee/wine bar just up from 7th ave. :goodvibes

No bidding war from me...I won't bid I promise....too big and I don't NEED it...
Yikes on shipping...I usually avoid auctions w/crazy shipping because it irritates me on principal alone....

Thanks again...The fabric is what nailed me. I just loved it. If you have a strong urge to dress little ones I'll certainly let you dress mine. She's cute as a button and lots of fun to dress...You have fantastic taste and lots of talent...I'd be glad to dress her in anything you put together.....Believe me if my checkbook is feeling better by the time April rolls around you'll be hearing from me.....The deal is we tell my DH it was on "Sale" he never questions anything as long as I say it was on "sale":rotfl2:

Maybe - I am not sure the tiaras would bake well though - might melt the gitter and such on it.

It actually doesn't bother me - I just bid accordingly. What is happening is that eBay bases their fees off the listing price and what the auction goes for. Sellers are trying to minimize the fees (which have gotten too high IMO) and since eBay does not charge a fee based on shipping - they get it there. I think sellers realize they won't get as much for the item in the bidding and they are OK with that. Also, I have tried to make shipping reasonable on items - and it is amazing how many times I have to pay out of pocket because it costs so much to send these days.

I love it!! Pink and black is one of my favorite color combinations. Now it's my turn to compliment you on your gorgeous new signature pictures.

Very cute and creative! I love the Mary Poppins one.

Wow, Zoe is really tall for her age. No wonder I thought she was older :)

I love the combo of colors here. I have seen this pooh. (I cannot remember where now :( ) and never thought to put it with brown! I love it.

My DD is so excited about the clothes too. I just love they are not from LTD2!!! My DH calls that store the prostitot shop! DD loves it by the way:laughing:

be gentle. Here are 2 of the things I have made thus far. I did not do the shirts. Only the dress/skirt. NOW if only I can figure out how to post the pic... wish me luck. LOL
