Found it! One condition...you gotta make one for me in a size 4!! ( Well my daughter is a size four...not me!)

WOW! That is FANTASTIC! I NEED THAT!

Here is Audrey Grace in Castle Creations lovely cow outfit. She just loves it! Her facial expressions are because she is trying to twirl on my countertop! We went to the Zoo today in this. ( I know , NO cows at the Zoo, but it's what she wanted.)

She loves the alligators.

Something tells me our girls a quite alike!

I Made DD Appliqued MMhead shirt last night. I am happy with it. Don't look too close ;)

This turned out great! I like this idea, so do my girls!

Those pics are priceless! Her expressions are adorable! Nice dress, Lisa!

I'm a pattern model....:lmao: :lmao:
Could be worse....you could be a colonoscopy equipment tester...:lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have looked at sergers, but they are so overwhelming looking. I see on these patterns from YCMT that most of the designers use sergers. Does anyone have any experience they could share with me? Brands, types, how long did it take you to learn to use it, is it worth the money, or do you hate it? I bought my machine 25 years ago for $1000 and it has been my only machine all these years. It is a great computerized machine and I love it, never jams, always does what it should do. But I see these serger folks can even gather on their machines.

I am in no way an expert, in fact I just learned to sew about 2 months ago. But, I've been making quilts with my Granny for almost 10 years. I have a Singer serger and absolutely  it. I can't imagine making anything without finishing my seams. I'm sure it can do more than I know about, but it does what I need.

IBTW - I use my serger a lot. I sew for others so use it several times each week. It's the "starter" model from White that I got at JoAnns 2 years ago. I think I paid $299 or less for it and it's definitely doing it's job. I don't have the "bells and whistles" fancier machines have (like air jet guided threading) but it does what I need, including a nice rolled edge that is a definite "must have" now that I've had it in my sewing repertoire. LOL

Lisa, just a warning, I will be PMing you asking for help with rolled hems!

I finished my Ariel outfit for Sarah (dd8) to wear to MGM in the afternoon. I'm working on getting pics posted!

 Can someone tell me again how to post thumbnails in quotes? I can't find it.
:thanks:

I am SOO excited to share my completed customs with you guys!!

I still have to do some appliqued T's and polos for my DS5, but here is what I've done for Mally (DD7). I would like to have time to make her one more outfit, either Cinderella themed or princess themed of some kind. I am also thinking of a High School Musical outfit...

This was my first attempt at the decoupage method. I had the jean jacket laying around (it won't fit Mally long) just waiting for the opportunity to be embellished! Catch the HIDDEN MICKEYS???

This is the decoupage jeans with peasant top... (again, notice the hidden Mickey??) I didn't make them to match the jacket (denims are very different), but I loved the fabrics so much, I wanted to use them again.

All three of your outfits are really cute, but I just LOVE this! This is definitely on my list of things to CASE.

Ok, this is my first attempt at appliques. The first thing I did was the name "Ariel" and I'm really proud of that. The next thing was the Ariel cutout from the fabric of the top and that was a little tricky, but I managed. Then I did Sebastian... now that was rough. I thought it would be easy since it's all one color, except the eyes. Actually, in hindsight, it should have been easy. I just made it complicated by not knowing how to finish the inside lines. I think it looks horrible, but Sarah loves it and that's all that matters. Anyway this is my first one, I have another one to do and it will be a little different.

BTW, don't look too closely!!!! All constructive criticism and advice will be gratiously accepted!

ETA: I CASEd this from here, I think it was revrob or Tink that made one similar for their dd.

Well here is the custom that arrived yesterday. It's not Disney...I guess DD could wear it to Animal Kingdom. It's a 4 piece set, It's for DD's birthdy next week, so no model until then! I love this set, I'm thrilled that I won it!!

DD loves the giraffes at the zoo! Our zoo (Detroit Zoo) just got a new giraffe exhibit. There's a new platform where you can actually feed the giraffes!! We can't wait to go and feed them!!

This is soo cute! I love the giraffe.

When we went to the zoo this summer DD3 wouldn't do anything until we saw the giraffes. It was so funny. We passed the monkeys & the elephants & a couple of other animals, but she kept saying "I want to see the giraffes.' Then we got there, she looked for a minute & said "Ok, I want to see the elephants now."

Don't be so hard on yourself! It looks great! AND - you have a ton more courage than I do - I've not even gotten up the nerve to TRY yet! Be proud of your creation, and that your DD is happy to wear it!

Are those buttons? Cute! The L.E. shirt is adorable. My Ds would love that.
I think they are buttons. The only other thing I thought they might be is those little wooden images that they sell at Michaels Craft Store??

We have the same Fairy outfits !!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh does your daughter make silly faces when she is trying to twirl too??

I really like this. May I ask, how did you do A R I E L? Did you cut out the letters using a stencil of just free hand it? What size are the letters? 3"??
I so want to do this, even just a simple "A" for a tee shirt, but am super intimidated as to where to start. I am asking you because it was your first time, s I figured you'd understand!

Just been struck by a lightning bolt of inspiration! Look on voldemort under Custom Boutique Sky and Earth Skirt Set Fall!

I just might have to find similar fabrics in pinks and browns (my favorite).

OMG!!!!
I saw the same fabric, In PINK AND BROWN at Walmart.. today!! I almost bought it, and didn't. I was like...what am I going to do with this...LOL...
:lmao:

Oh!!! You shoulda! Your girls would look adorable and hip in that kind of outfit, especially in pink and brown. I'm sure you've got a bumload of projects
waiting to be done.

Also, I notice the huge black and white trend lately. Even in quilting! Hmmm, maybe it'll grow on me?

I want to attempt to CAB (copy and butcher) it, but alas, I have a ballerina/witch to create (for Norah, not me) and MINE is a Hocus Pocus type witch...the 4 males in my family can figure something out that goes along with our orange and black silly theme.

And an Animal Kingdom outfit and Epcot. The friends around the world outfit is done. Nemo is for "Future World day" as opposed to "world showcase day" at Epcot.

Oh, everyone! I'm sending out an SOS for black and orange striped tights or leggings...only if you actually SEE them, though! It may be a smidge too early, but be on the lookout, pretty please? :flower3:

We stopped at K Mart (or possibly kmartomort?) and I bought these on clearance. Thinking I may use the E 6000 and glue the cut outs of the sequins on a tee shirt or jeans. Any other ideas? I bought 3 Mickey's, two Minnies, and the one Ariel. Only because that is all they had!!

What section of Kmart did you find these? I looked and could not find them anywhere!

How much tulle do you think I need to make this? I want to do it in pale blue to match a Cinderella outfit. Thanks

Holy Princess!!! I would guess 80-90 yards (j/k) but a-LOT! I just got 10 yards for a tu tu size 3t!

VERY Cute! I would CASE this but I am SO not ready to start another applique yet:scared:

Oh yes, believe me I uderstand! I don't know why, but I was terrified of doing appliques. The very first thing I did was make a letter "R" and heat n'bonded it to a small square of scrap. Then I appliqued the edges using different stitches until I found the one that I liked the most.

The I used the Waltograph font that I downloaded and typed the word ARIEL. I had dd16 work with it to make just the outlines and print them out the size that I needed. I'm really happy with how that part turned out, even though it all went downhill from there! But, I know what I'm doing now, I just need more practice!

I'm gonna go measure the letters for you, brb.... they are 1 7/8" tall

If I had to do it over again, I would do letters with straight lines, not rounded ones like I did.

OMG you guys!1 I go away for one day and look what I missed!! AT least 6 pages of absolutely FANTASTIC designs appeared! WOW!!! I am so impressed with you all!

GREAT JOB EVERYONE!
