These are so pretty! I love them. We love eating at 'Ohana too.

Jessica - Did anyone ever answer you?
I think Jack is going to look great!
I didn't want to say this, but I guess I will since I don't think anyone responded.
I hate saying anything that's negative!!!!!
I think there are too many patches for a boy.
:scared:
Don't hate me!

I think so too. But it is still cute. Also how old is the boy? If he is a younger boy it may be okay. I like the patches though. You may just want to do a couple here and there. Also, try pinning them in place and then wait a couple days and see if you like it. Then sew them.

Well, I finally got all 7 of the shirts/outfits done for our group using the Mickey blue denim check fabric (DH's not pictured since it's identical to DS's)

Everyone got to choose their own style (well, I picked DH and DS patterns)

hey ladies,

i saw a few of you posted the tie~dyed mickey shirts a while back...so i thought i would share the ones i made for my dd's back in feb.2007 a yr. before we are actually going...i was so excited when we planned this upcoming trip i got busy right away....LOL!!

tiedyedmickey.jpg

when i finished them i didn't like how they turned out so i took fabric paint and outlined the mickey head....

tiedyedmickey2.jpg

although these are not disney outfits...i wanted my dd's to have something to wear to our county fair over the weekend...so i quickly made these up for them to wear...

I love the Mickey Tie Dye shirts! So cute.
Those dresses are adorable. They look nice and comfortable in the hot summer sun. Hope you had fun at the fair!

I'm about 15 pages back and see that many people are digging the sock monkey fabric. Before I stated sewing (thanks to all of you!) I had this outfit made for my DD because I loooove sock monkeys!

THis is so cute! I love that brown/orange dot fabric the bloomers are made of. It coordinates so well!

I sewed my first twirl skirt! It is nowhere near perfect and my little darling refuses to try it on - screaming, kicking, flailing must mean no!!! :) I am so proud of myself, I will try to post pics tomorrow.

I have a question... about bloomers. Does anyone know where to buy bloomers/diaper covers for toddlers. DD is 2, wears 3T and is not potty-trained. I hate when her diaper is visible when she wears skirts. I know I could put underwear on her over the diaper but does anyone have any other ideas? Any place to buy a bloomer for a reasonable price. And please don't suggest sewing on myself - I don't think I am up for that yet.

Check Babies R Us, or your local bridal shop. I get all of my daughter's ruffle socks, diaper covers, (now it's ruffle panties...LOL)

Some pages back someone asked about Haunted Mansion fabric used on the overalls. I never saw an answer, and though I'm not the owner of the overalls, I'm pretty sure a cut-up Haunted Mansion t-shirt that I know was/is sold at Disneyland was used on the overalls as opposed to actual fabric. I could be wrong, but that was my impression when I saw the picture.

Also, I love all the outfits I've seen posted this weekend. So much inspiration! Keep up the good work everyone! I hope to share new outfits soon, but it seems each one I've done is missing one thing I need to go buy and I'd rather not post pics until they are complete.

Does anyone have the lime green swirly Mickey Head fabric? I only need about 12 inches of it. I would be willing to trade something for it. I have been to 3 joanns with no luck.:sad2:

When do you need it by? If you PM me your address, I will send you some next time I'm at the Post office..which is about 3 times a week :lmao:

That was my pet peeve too! My DD3 just became potty trained. I bought hers at a boutique locally called the Gaint Peach and also Nordstroms. They ran around five dollars each. They were either ruffled or bland so you could monogram them. Good luck!

Oh- Nordstroms also carries little white spandex undershorts. They are about $10 and I put them on DD3 because she has not gotten the lady legs down yet.

Okay you two with the Voldemort polymer clay beads! Thanks a MILLION! I am now officially broke! J/k...I'm waiting for DH to get home and show him the snow white ones and (AND!!!!) another I found with a buy it now minnie/girl! Two would make lovely additions to a froofy homemade hair bow, dontcha think?

That Peter Pan one is perfect for the Peter Pan's Flight ride....I'm soooo kidding about the changing for every ride. Really! :rolleyes1

Which reminds me, I haven't gone on that ride in many trips! This time I will!

Ok ladies I need help. I want to make DS a costume for MNSSHP. I am making an Alice costume for DD which is in the works and I want him to be the mad hatter. ANyone know any good patterns to use or have any ideas especially for the hat. I will need it to be about 18 months.

I made a mad hatter hat a couple years ago. It was all guess work. I think I had to through the first one out. But I believe there is a hat pattern now, by one of the 3 major makers.

You did a great job! Most of the one's I see (copies I mean) aren't smooth around the edges. I'm still trying to find a wipe case that will work that is durable. Or I'm going to have to figure out how to cover the middle part of the pop up cases without it looking ragged.
Thanks! You need to cover the top with felt or thin batting. It won't open, but I think it looks better completely covered.

oh my! What beautiful work everyone has done. I had my DD3 birthday party last Wednesday, then off to Missouri for my sisters wedding, and came back to 30 + pages.... I just had to share the B-day pics. I made the cake, her outfit, and had the beads made for her necklace. I strung them. Guess you can figure out the theme!
Love all of your matching items! I am watching a set of beads from that seller, her work is great!

What a cutie! I think that every time I see your signature picture. You really did a great job on her outfit! Do you have to take out the seam on the jeans to sew the patches?
Thanks! Yes, I opened the outside seam instead of the inseam because it was thinner.

I love both of these outfits and I have to add your girls have gorgeous hair color!

I can't get search to work so please don't mind me asking this question.

How many here have used the Brother 6000i? Is it any good? Is it worth the price?

I am using an old machine my sil gave me a few years ago (she bought a new one) and it is more a destruction machine than a sewing machine.

I have been using mine for about 18 months and I LOVE it!!!!!

you know about the bloomers... there is a great place. children's place carries thes bike type shorts that are short but not too short and are perfect under skirts and dresses, they do not show! I sue them all the time and I think they are 2 for $8 or 2 for $10. they are great!

These are the CUTEST beads I have ever seen. All my kids are Peter Pan freaks. They would love these.

That is one of the cutest pillowcase dresses I've ever seen! I love the bow on the Mickey/Minnie head.
