I can't stand Tom Cruise. I can never understand the big deal over him.

Me either!! But that's another thread!!

I hope you find something good for Jasmine. If/When you do, would you pass along your idea to me? DD8 :love:s Jasmine and I'm having a hard time trying to find something to make for her to wear to CRT (surprise breakfast)! It has to be princessy, but comfy enough to spend the day at the parks in. I'm axious to see what you come up with, because your other princess sets are great!

oh my gosh - did you guys know there is a pattern for princess dresses for dolls? To stinkin' cute! (I was looking to see if they had any boy doll clothes patterns and saw it.)

Did you see any for Jasmine? I'd love to make dresses for their dolls, but Jasmine is so hard to come by.

These are adorable!! I love them! Did you find it in a store?

Good Morning, ladies!

Finally got pics of the Buzz set - seems like I've been talking about it forever! Just another button-up shirt and some appliqued jeans - I think all of DS's clothes are starting to look the same! Oh well. He likes them!

Hope everyone has a great day!

This is an adorable set! Where did you get the Buzz fabric, that's one I've never seen before!

Where oh where oh where can you find the circle fabric pictured above - L LOVE IT!

I've never seen it either, just on the boards!

I am NOT going to listen to that sort of nonsense! He is at the top of my list. Right next to Rob Lowe, Ralph Macchio, Patrick Swayze, Emilio Estevez, Matt Dillon and, above all, and forever Ponyboy, C.Thomas Howell (C. for Christopher, of course). :cloud9: Guess what my fabric (woops, I mean FAVORITE!!! )book and movie was when I was a teenager!

Welcome back! I can't wait to see the pictures!

And, for my viewing pleasure, the poster I had hanging in my room growing up: (Just in case you were actually wondering what my favorite movie was)

Can't wait to see pictures! Welcome back to the thread!! I am sure you only have about 50 or so pages to catch up on--shouldn't take too long :rotfl:

Just wanted to let everyone know that at Wal-Mart today, I saw some lettle black capris (in the little girls section.) They had black with white polka dots and red with black polka dots. I thought they might look cute under some Minnie twirl skirts or even those Minnie-ish dresses from Wal-Mart a while back. I bought DD the black/white pair and was thinking of putting some red bows or ribbon on the legs to make them seem more custom.

Anyway, just thought I'd pass it along!

OMG...now that is a blast from the past! I remember that movie coming out when I was in college! Something for everyone in that poster though!

I think this is so adorable! Did you sew the "patches" on the pants or just iron them on? I think they look more cool than cute and would like to do this for my son. I made him a pair of shorts from the cars fabric. I was going to make a camp shirt but decided on the shorts because I had this tee already that goes well with it.

Not a great pic of the shorts, but you get the idea. I went all-out and made pockets, too:laughing: Not much to do to jazz up the guy stuff.

This was the only one I saw. Sorry.

Saw the pattern on the Simplicity website when I was looking for boy doll patterns.

I did get a pattern for the doll today and some fabric - so, although it's not Disney, here's another outfit for "Buddy" --- LOL

DS said "pretty" when he saw it after his nap.

OK - I admit it, I'm stalling. I'm chicken to cut into the expensive Disney fabric to work on my shirt. I know I shouldn't be, but I am. And, after doing 3 guys shirts (2 for DS and 1 for DH so far) I'm sick of collars. So I want a break from the guys shirts.

I did get some fabric/pattern for a sun dress. I really shouldn't wear one because my arms are really really unattractive, but sometimes in the summer it just gets so hot I don't care anymore. If it comes out OK I might make one with some Mickey fabric for our trip. If I like the dress in the first (cheap) fabric, I'll photoshop the Mickey fabric on the pattern and see if y'all like it. It may be too busy though. We'll see.

Cute shorts. That would be an easy shirt to add an applique/iron on to. Just cut out one or two of the cars from the same fabric the shorts were made of and use a fusible webbing to iron them on. (I like Heat'n'bond Ultra because it doesn't require any sewing)

Aww, Buddy looks cute in his outfit!

I'm the one that made this, but I'm not sure of what you're asking...or saying...:rotfl:

Someone a few pages back asked for the picture you posted of your Sponge Bob applique.

OOH pockets! Now you are getting all fancy on us! They look great!

Question for you.....Are all of your patch squares the same size, or did you verry the sizes for a more mixed up look? I haven't attemped anything except for a pillow case dress... and I wasn't really sure I like how that turned out either. :sad2: Practice practice practice....i'll get there with all of you (one of these days).

-Michellle

Thanks Michelle. I did vary the size of my squares for a couple of reasons. It was faster since I didn't have to worry about measuring, and I also like the more random look it gives the skirt. But mostly because I didn't want to worry about measuring all the squares.

I don't really have an opinion or rather a critique of the waist band on the skirt since I've never made one of these myself, but is anyone really going to see the waist anyway? I mean, most outfits I've seen on this thread with the twirl skirts have the shirt obscuring the waist anyways...so I'm not sure I'd fret over that. It's too bad your DD doesn't like the skirt, I think it turned out really cute. :cutie:

No, the waist probably won't be seen. I was thinking more in terms of comfort. I serged the top layer to the waistband, but it still sticks out. Doesn't lay flat is more accurate I guess. If we were going to keep it for my dd, I really wouldn't worry about it. However, since it will probably end up on ebay, I want it to be nicer. Thanks though.

Well I like it! Nasty Gators and all! May I ask where you got your college themed material?

I got this fabric at Hancocks, but I have also seen it at Joann's. We had UF, FSU, University of Miami, UK, and NC Tarheels. I noticed lots of universities on the Hancock website. They also had all the pink university fabric as well.

Wow! This picture is priceless! What are the chances of getting all four of these characters in a picture with your daughter in her little Alice dress? Unbelieveable!!

There is a really cool stroy behind the photo.

![/QUOTE]

That is a great story. Thanks for sharing it.

Alright ladies, I have noticed that I have over 30 pages of posts to catch up on. Love the outfits I've seen so far. I love the adult size ribbon tee. I hope it catches on. I'd love for all of us to wear customs around the World.

Well, I best get to reading. Please forgive me if I don't respond to each post.
