kids club hours on the fantasy

Hi - I have never been on a Disney Cruise. I am trying to convince my husband that we should take our 3 kids and just do it. However, I have a question about the hours for the kids' club. We would want to go on the Fantasy - does anyone know if they are open all day? I looked at the Navigator that someone posted and it looked to me like they don't open until 12:30pm -that seems late to me. Just wondering.

That may just be for Embarkation day. I think they are open earlier when you are at sea.

They are definitely open earlier during the cruise. Check out the MV's navigators. They usually are open by 7/7:30 a.m. on port days to accomodate those with excursions where the kids aren't old enough to go.

For more specific help what are your kids ages? IMO with 3 kids I wouldn't go on any other cruise line! DCL will keep them entertained so you can have some down time.

And they stay open fairly late, until midnight if I recall correctly. They have places for the kids to rest/sleep if they hit the wall before you return to pick them up.

I totally confess that we have done this.....oh horrible, neglectful parents that we are! When we committed this heinous act (to some! ) our child was about six years old. The day before we had been in Costa Maya and he complained bitterly the entire way to Majahual that it was "too hot", that he was "tired", his "feet hurt," "when were we going to get there?" and "were we there yet?' That decided it for me...the next day he was staying on the ship when we went into Cozumel!!! We checked him into the Oceaneer Club and away we went! Periodically throughout the day I had moments of guilt and worry...."was he okay? and Did he miss us?, etc" When we got back he didn't even give us a second glance and still didn't want to leave!!! He didn't miss us, had a great time and most importantly, so did we! It was awesome....the best of both worlds for both of us! No more guilt! I know that others will/would totally flame me for leaving my poor child alone on a family vacation ...and how could I do that, etc so go ahead, flame away! But I'd do it again in a heartbeat if my son chooses to stay in the club. We don't go that far away and we aren't gone all day. Most importantly, everyone's happy!

On the 2nd day navigator it says the club opens at 0900 and the lab opens at 1000. Both appear to be opened until midnight.

Sunday: Club 10 am - midnight; Lab 9 am - midnight
Monday: Club 9 am - midnight; Lab 9 am - midnight
Tuesday: Club 9 am - 10 pm, Lab 9 am - 1 am
Wednesday: Club 9 am - 11 pm, Lab 7 am - midnight
Thursday: Club 9 am - midnight, Lab 9 am - midnight
Friday: Scuttles Cove - Both 10 am - 4 pm
Friday: Onboard - Open house scheduled in Lab 9 am - noon, Club noon - 4 pm
Club 4 pm - midnight, Lab 4:30 - midnight

Keep in mind that there are open house times in the Club/Lab with the exception of Friday after leaving CC, so there may be times when the kids may need to be in the other location for secured programing, but there is secured programing available during the times noted above.
