I tell you, what a day :confused3

My DS is a complete wreck about his science project partner, apparently she is bossy, and is not using any of his suggestions, and, in fact she just ignores him while working on the project in class... I spent half an hour on the phone with his science teacher, who took a look at his notes overnight & found that he's done an excellent job getting information.... so, she knows that he is trying & she even noticed in class it was the other partner that dominated the project.... But, DS went up to her nearly crying yesterday after class because he is so frustrated....

DS's teacher has asked him to write up his own project, since that's what he wants to do..... meanwhile, after the project is done, she will speak to the partner, DS begged her not to talk to the partner before the end of the project. I just want to give DS a hug when he gets home :grouphug:

Now, DD's teacher is emailing me that she is tripping more and more at school & not only that, she's falling out of her chair for no reason... I can't get her into a specialist until July, that's really where she should be going as there is something we are watching for....

My heart is breaking for both children right now :sad1:

This is just good prep for your DS for marriage! :rotfl2:

Sorry to hear about the situations, hope everythings works out!

Marriage, LOL... please don't make my day worse LOL...

I hope everything works out too :(

The situation with your DS is precisely why I DESPISE any sort of group project. Even when I was in COLLEGE I was still having issues with group work. Mine was more that I always had slackers in my group who wanted to ride in on my hard work. Nope, I don't think so. I always made sure I told the professor EXACTLY how much work each person had put in on a project and how I felt their grades should reflect their efforts. ;)

If your DD is experiencing impaired motor function and it is getting incrementally worse I would call the specialist and INSIST that they see her before July. Maybe call your pediatrician first and see if they can push your DD into the specialist NOW.

Good luck! :grouphug:

:grouphug: What kind of specialist is your DD going to see? Couldn't they do an MRI or something to see what's going on?

My DS came home all upset (2nd grade) because he made a B (89%) in reading. Of course we didn't care but it's a fine line when they are upset.

Yes, my DD was very upset this morning when she realized she got a B on her book report this morning before school....

Anyhow, we are going to bring her to our regular doctor to see if he see's anything, but we need to bring her in to be seen by a neurologist that specializes in mitochondrial myopathy... There are only two doctors in the Boston Region & I'm worn out from the one I have been seeing, so I'm trying to get myself into the other guy... I hope that he is a bit better with adults, as mostly mito affects children, but obviously I am not a child..... Unfortunately, to dx. the mito you need an extraordinarily painful muscle biopsy which I want to avoid with DD until we are more sure that her problems are related to what I have, and not some sort of childhood growing problem....

Oh, the frustration, I'd just like to give them a big hug this afternoon..... :grouphug:
