kids and passports HELP

I have heard a rumour, (my mother say's she read it in the paper!) that DD's need there own passports for our trip to Florida in Feb. they are currently on ours with a few years to run. I havnt been advised of this at booking ? I will need to get this sorted soon if this is the case.

The rumour is <i>true</i> - children need their own passports from October 1st. This is one of a few changes coming into effect on that date.

Everyone also needs a red passport with the swipe code on the Identification Page. Has all sorts of >> << type stuff on it - if your passport just has a big white space at the bottom of the page (when it's turned on it's side) then it isn't machine readable, and you won't be admitted.

Lastly, on the Visa Waiver Program, they were pretty relaxed about the information you put in on your first night stay address, but that is changing too. This will now be strictly enforced and you need to give an exact address including Zip Code and contact telephone number of where you are staying.

THE PASSPORT THING ISNT A PROB, BUT I FORSEE PROBS WITH THE HOME ADDRESS THINGEE AS LOTS OF PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHICH VILLA THEY ARE GOING TO END UP IN?!?!

Feebee - I think I heard that the address of the management company will be fine in that instance...I've heard other people say that as obviously many people are in the same boat on that one.

Penny, is correct.... so long as you provide the full address of the management company (pick up address) then the officials are happy with this, should they require to find you they will be able to locate you thru the agency.

Remember passport fees go up 2nd October, so you may want to get in before then as savea few quid.
