Ick on the fires, they keep us (my company) busy but wild fires are their own animal. Have a GREAT trip!

Honestly whatever works for you should be good, though maybe not before 8...I try not to speak too much before then, it's best for everyone involved. Neither Mary Ellen and I are late sleepers and well, we will be walking there so it's pretty darn easy! I have to pack but since MEK isn't leaving till the next day I really don't have to do it in the morning YAY and can be a little last minute about it if I want and DME isn't until about 3:30. Not that I should have all that much to pack anyway. We will have only beent here 2 nights and my guess is that I won't really unpack there so it should be a piece of cake.

Compared to my last girls trip where I was literally sitting on my suitcase trying to zip it up

It is a crap shoot! The boys dad was the rebound guy...not such a happy story. Jeff and I actually met online. As did my brother and his current wife. Apparently we do much better that way for some reason, go figure. Still it's pretty cool. Jeff and I are SO alike in so many ways and were living really similar lives but were just far enough away (dfferent school districts, kids different ages, different church) that our paths never would have crossed otherwise. God Bless the intranet!

Oh my! Yes, that will help with boundaries for sure! NO matter what you do, kids will take both good and bad. It took me a long time to realize I couldn't fix my (biological) mom. And that marrying guys who needed fixing because I couldn't fix her, wasn't the answer either.

Cool. I'll make them Wed when we get back.

Thanks, I think we may have more booze than food. ;). I know beer doesn't love you but have you tried the Bud Select 55? Only 55 calories. One Oreo is 70. :upsidedow And no fat in beer.

You, we can't fix them. Before M I liked to pick the emotionally unavailable ones. :confused3 Gosh I was a fool.

Thats very cool! So close yet so far and if not for the internet, you may have never met. I know a few couples who have met online. :thumbsup2 I have met some very dear friends online. Some 12+ years ago I met two fantastic women on a Weight Watchers board. I've met them both in real life, they're so fun, and we're still friends. I met Jenna on another site but really got to know her here. Our families have vacationed together at WDW twice, Disneyland once, Yellowstone, and they also came here for Christmas. Love them! :grouphug: G-d bless the Internet and Al Gore for developing it. :rotfl: They'll be there this October too. I can't imagine WDW without them.

Most of my *real life* (never really understood that saying as my entire life is real) friends though aren't into much more than FB and would never meet up with people from a message board. M is behind the curve too and just thinks I'm silly. And a Disney geek. I'm both and he's lucky!

:rotfl: sorry, nothing I'd ever touch. I do love beer. Big hoppy Microbrew IPA style beer. YUM! But it doesn't love me (or my IBS). I gave it up in April. Not that I drank all that much, typically Friday nights and that was it. But it wasn't worth feeling like crap. Any beer would do it, wouldn't matter light, non alchoholic, big hoppy ipa. It's the hops...and carbonation. Bad. But I truly do not like the taste of Bud, Miller, etc so no desire to even try it, I'd rather have water. If I was going to feel miserable, I'd have to pick something that I really loved to make it worth it.

I have too, mostly from a pregnancy board when I was pregnant with Evan. We are all still in touch though it's migrated to FB now. I've met several of them, one is now my travel agent and these are women as much or more than my "local/real" life friends that I turn to for advice with my kids! Jeff used to think it was a little odd...till he met 2 of them and then got involved in his own plane board. Though he doesn't call it a board, it's the same thing and these are guys he goes flying with now. He's come a long way on the Disney resister side...I think I almost have him convinced to check out a certain TR and he's decorated the man cave (garage, plane building side) with a few key items from our recent FE exchange on the cruise. Note that I said HE decorated it. Not me.

Oh and tell M that Jeff said last night he wants to do the Alaska cruise again. I think we will be looking at summer 2014 when it comes out, either Alaska or one on the Fantasy. I'd probably vote for the Fantasy but would be cool either way.

I LOVE bear lake! I haven't been in ages....I'm slightly jealous!

Summer 14? We just may do that! I'll never get him on a Disney cruise unless it's to somewhere like Alaska. You are smart my friend! So the fish extenders are really fun? I love that Jeff's into too. Michael loves our friend Jenna and her family and we've moved way past the *internet friend* thing. He posts on a Raiders board but not sure I want to be their friends! ;) Lol!

Where does the Fantasy sail? Do you use DVC points, cash, or a combo? And what about rooms? You've got too many for one cabin too, right?

It's amazing. We've already had our raspberry shakes. I'm completely off caffeine and made the dreadful mistake of having not one but two diet Pepsis with my whipped cherry vodka and now I'm wide awake! :hyper: Everyone is asleep but me. I might go make a sandwich- haha!

Fish Extenders are a blast! It will be interesting to see what the itineraries are for 2014, nothing is released yet. Rumor has it they may not be going to Alaska and the general perception is that the Fantasy will likely keep soemthing similar to their current itinerary which alternates eastern and western Caribbean. But we will see. We wouldn't do the same cruise we just did. Too short and we could entirely pass on Nassau so it'd have to be longer (at least 5 nights) with new ports of some sort. I think all the kids would prefer the Fantasy (warm, Castaway Cay lol) but Jeff would pick Alaska first.

5 will fit in one room. 6, we'd need 2. Would depend on whether Taylor wanted to go or not. We've discussed that we'd get one verandah room and one inside room in that event. Who knows, it's all a long shot at this point, as is the bigger family trip. I'm in the middle of PDD (even though I have a girls trip lol) where I REALLY want to know when the next one is and be able to look forward to planning, point allotment, all of it.

We pay cash for the cruise, don't have enough points to use them on crusing for the whole clan and need them for other things. Someday maybe I would though. Key is to try to book once dates come out and lock in the lower rates. We have a December 13 booking as a placeholder, once 2014 comes out I will just move it.

No unfortunately not. I have her putting in applications everywhere. She wants to have her girlfriend come up from the Bakersfield area while we are gone in November and unless one of them covers the cost it will not happen. I refuse to pay for it. Mean mom!

I always enjoy your pictures on Facebook!

OK, I'm just going to jump back in here and say Hi! :wave2:

We've been crazy. I hope you've been enjoying your trip!

:wave2: Back, crazy, busy, fabulous time at the lake. Hope every one survived Monday and Tuesday in tact. :goodvibes

Nassau is not good?

I'd think cruises to Alaska would be quite popular but maybe not? :confused3 It sounds like a great man starter cruise. ;) I'm sure that's the only way M would agree.

I did that bunch of cruise research and then purged it all from my sad breaking once I realized it wasn't going to happen.

PDD? Can you do part points and part cash? I thought only 4 fit in a room. I can't even imagine how smashed we'd be but I'm guessing that on a cruise, you really do only use the room for sleeping.

How much is the deposit and what happens when you cancel? It sounds similar to the free dining/PIN waiting game. When do they release next years dates?

:goodvibes I'm sorry. I was really hoping she'd land that Costco job!

You? Mean? :lmao: You're the nicest mom around! She wants her friend to come to Disneyland with you?

Hi! How was Fran's appt? Did you get the :thumbsup2 for October?

Me yes...my dishwasher, my motivation, maybe not.

LOL!

:rotfl2: I hear you on all three counts! I've got none of the above. My dishwasher is leaving a filmy mess even on super scrub with very little soap. :headache:

Glad you had a good time.
The kids and I loved FEs but Tom wasn't as big a fan.

Amanda

Do you have pics of your fish extenders? I can't seem to grasp the concept other than its basically a long piece of fabric with envelope type pockets on it and you leave each other trinkets.

Hope you had a good weekend. I just told my friend we'd miss the bat mitzvah. She's a little upset/disappointed.

I'm glad you had a great time! I hope you got some R&R.

Survived M&T....now if I could just get some downtime to work on my TR!

Not much R&R but lots of fun, food, and beer.

What's M&T? Something and therapy? Let me know when you update!

Oh no Kacy has decided that she is not going with us because of school and hopefully a job. She wanted her girlfriend to come stay so that they could have some alone time. I am totally cool with her girlfriend coming to stay, they are both adults but I am not paying for it. I did offer that next summer I would pay for her girlfriends room, food, and transportation down to DLR but she has to pay for her ticket and her way home.

Oh okay. I can't believe she doesn't want to go. Whose kid is she anyway? :rotfl: She's gaining some independence so that's cool.
