I picked this for my dh, Jon, who is getting very excited about our trip. He is very excited to see palm trees. His parents never went anywhere and he excited to see one in its natural state. He is also starting to drink the koolaid because he said yesterday that "since we will make it down there this time I am sure will go back again." I was shocked but so happy to hear that.

I am really okay with it but it would be nice to go with just the big girls and not worry about losing anyone and not dealing with a ton of input. The best trips to Disneyland involve my family just doing what I suggest.

I am looking forward to that adult time. That is all of the kids Scotty included.

This trip has been 3 years in the making. It just kept getting out off due to some things that have happened in our family. This is also a dream of mine as it was my idea to do this. I have paid for this trip with money that I saved and took jobs here and there. However I am glad that it took this long as now it has turned into a long trip and we really do need it as 2010 has been the very hardest that we have ever had.

One week? Amazing. It's so exciting. I am considering this your first trip as you went some 20+ years ago. Nothing like the first time.

October is not a spendy month for DVC and you can rent points sometimes as cheaply as staying in a Value at places like AKV.

Yes we added a day at the beginning because it was cheaper to do that then fly the next day. Even with the added night at the hotel. I am glad we did that too because they are calling for bad weather on the day we were going to leave.
