Same with Jon. He really came out of his shell this year.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 As Cynthia can confirm comp soccer is fairly spendy. I have no issues writing those checks as long as Gab is playing her best which includes not being timid and playing smart. Goals don't matter to me but if we are going to spend 4-5 days a week involved I expect the same level of dedication from her.

I cannot wait to go on the thrill rides. I love them. I was thinking today that my first roller coaster I ever road was Space Mountain when I was 6 and I have been hooked on them ever since.

In other trip news I booked us at the Wishes dessert party on the night of 2/11.

Yep, I can confirm! So can Mary Ellen

Ouch. We feel exactly the same about the return on investment. Sounds a bit harsh I suppose but...it is a lot of cabbage and if they have out of state tournaments it goes way up. Effort counts for everything in our book. I don't care if you are horrid, but if you are trying, giving your best, that counts more than anything. Not that she is horrid mind you. :rotfl:

Interestingly enough, Kendall got far more out of her freshman year of HS soccer than we've seen (in terms of improvement, dedication, passion and effort) than in the last 3 years of club. That said, she was well positioned for it thanks to club so.....it will be interesting to see how that plays out in spring PDL and state cup.

Great outlook Cynthia!:thumbsup2

This was the boys' second year of soccer. Chris played U-10 and Jon was U-12. In the beginning of the year Chris was the one with the drive and determination. He was aggressive and passionate about it. The last few games, Jon has surpassed Chris' drive. It was like it finally "clicked." I'm just happy they found something they love to do. :goodvibes

Jessica- You are going to have a blast!!! I myself am not a thrill rider. I was content staying off the rides with Emma because she was too small. She's since grown a little and can actually ride some of the rides I avoid. And she loves them! So much for wisking her to IASW while everyone else rides Splash. Soarin' is about as thrilling of a ride as I can handle.;)

The Wishes Dessert party sounds fantastic! I'll be eager to hear how it was.

How awesome- the Wishes Dessert Party will be so cool! Can't wait to see TONS of pictures. :rolleyes1

I love thrill rides too but am content with riding them once or twice each trip. Michael and the kids can do ToT over and over and over.....

:thumbsup2 I hear ya! Vegas was such a bad tourney! We played out of our level so Gabby, who is a good player but by no means a star, got very little play time. It was so unfair to the team and our families. Dedication is key for me! No whining about practice or anything else because guess what kids: I have other things to do with my time too. :rotfl2: ;)

So glad they love it Jenna- it really is so fun to watch.

I dreamt of a Disney Cruise last night. :cloud9:

In general, I am NOT a fan of playing up at tournaments, especially out of state. One thing to test it when it's local but another when you've shelled out a ton on travel. I can honestly say the only time K has ever whined is when her mom has signed her up for extra training, or clinics without getting her buy in on it. Which seemed justified whining to me lol.

That's a nice dream! I confess...I ordered clothes for ours yesterday justifying it that I can wear them now here and then in August in Alaska. LOL

Sorry I didn't make it here yesterday so today I have lots of pictures of one of the things I am looking forward to ....

The Wishes Dessert Party I have heard only good things and that it has a great view of Wishes.

I can't wait to try the strawberries. Don't they look yummy?!?!! I am really hopping that Lexi doesn't freak out over the sound of the fireworks. She doesn't care for loud noises but she did say that if she had earmuffs to cover her ears she would watch the fireworks so those are on my shopping list for the week.

:rotfl2: My favorite episodes ever! Back in the day a two-part brady Bunch was like a gift from the heavens. :cloud9:

I hear ya! With 5 of us I see nothing less than 2 bedroom even though legally we can do a one bedroom.

Haven't stayed at the VWL but Jenna has. The first time we met was at WDW and they were staying there so we went to their villa and had drinks. It's cool but the rooms are a little dated. The hotel though is gorgeous and the pool areas have these beautiful water falls. :thumbsup2 Jenna had some wedding photos taken there I believe, maybe she'll share them :rolleyes1

I have only stayed at the OKW GV, AKV- Jambo-2 bedroom- SV, and the GCV- 2 bedroom- theme park view. Only.....;)

Where have you stayed?

I've stayed at the Poly, CR, YC, and BLT.

How did you like the GV at OKW? Did you find OKW too far from everything? I love that the OKW villas are much bigger.

Are you planning on trying Kidani? I'd like to, but it seems like all of the action is at Jambo House.

DVC at the Poly would be great!!!:thumbsup2 I wonder if someday they'll put DVC units in all of the deluxe resorts. I think Poly & GF are the only deluxes remaining without DVC, right?

Yes, Poly, GF, and YC (if you don't count BCV). I would add on in a heartbeat at the Poly or GF.

I'll share! :rotfl: I have them on Facebook so I'm just going to attempt to link the album here:
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2011402&id=1526764977&l=2d3fbac416

I'm going to take a peak!

Tell me about the cruise? I didn't know you had one planned?

Are those the Wishes desserts? :cloud9: Holy moly! Lu-cky girl!

Loved the GV at OKW! It was huge, alomst if not 2,000 sq ft which is fabulous when on vacation. It didn't seem very far from anything but it was only our 2nd trip to WDW and the place still seemed massive. We had only stayed at the POR so it's hard to compare. I am sure if I ever stay at an Epcot or MK DVC the others will seem far. The GCV are literally inside DCA and that was unreal. :cloud9:

I really loved Jambo and while Kidani looks gorgeous, no CS is a huge pitfall for us. But I never say never- the pool rocks. :woohoo:

You have stayed at some great DVC/resorts. Color me envious!!!

But it's hard for me to try new resorts. I get attached to resorts I love and never want to try new places.

It's the same everywhere. I love the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and hate staying anywhere else (the Four Seasons is the exception ). On one trip, I stayed at the Mirage and I HATED it. I found it small. Well, compared to the MGM everything is small.

They are. I forgot to add that in my post. I am going to edit it now. Did you have a good weekend?

Really good weekend, thanks! Now feeling the 3 day weekend back to work crunch! :scared: How was yours?

What's the cost for the Wishes dessert?

:rotfl2: I am a creature of habit too when it comes to a lot of things. I tend to order the same thing when we go to dinner; why mess with a good thing? :confused3 ;)

Michael loves the MGM Grand too. I made try the Monte Carlo one time and I thought he was going to flip out. :rotfl:

Wow Jessica! Those desserts look heavenly!!:cloud9: I think I gained 10lbs. just by looking at them!:lmao:

We went and saw "Disney on Ice- Princess Classics" yesterday. It was soooo good! Really kicked in the Disney itch. Thank goodness I have a trip coming up (relatively) soon otherwise I think I'd be booking one. ;) Emma leaned over to me at one point and whispered "Now I want to go back to Disney." Me too!!!:hyper:

We ended up with another snow day today so the kids were off. That makes 3 within the last 2 weeks. And there's a possibility for another storm on Friday. At this rate the kids will be going into July.:sad2:

They are going to be in school until July if you get many more snow days. :rotfl2: Lucky you. ;) In the 18 years I have been here :faint: we have had maybe 2 snow days where work/school was canceled. Wonder if PA snow is different than Utah snow. Maybe our shallow gene pool has something to do with it?! :lmao:

Love that Emma! :cutie:

And Jenna I am listening to Disney movie music on Pandora and That's How You Know is on from Enchanted. :cloud9:

Good Morning!!

I did not know Pandora had a Disney music channel. I must check that out.
