AKV is so beautiful. My kids loved it too. The animals were mezmerizing to me. I seriously forgot we were at WDW when sitting on the balcony watching them.

If you ask Lexi what she wants to be when she grows up she used to say zoo keeper. She has consistently said this since she was about 2 1/2. Now if you ask her she says she wants to to be a zoo keeper at Disney World:thumbsup2 She loves loves loves animals. She really wants a dog but I am really allergic to them so she wants her and Jon to live in one house and I will live next door and when they want to see me they will come visit. :lmao:

I hear SAB is worth it alone to stay at the BCV. We walked by SAB and it looked pretty cool.
We walked by SAB when we went over to eat at Cape May. It looked like so much fun. Maybe we can do a split stay.

I haven't a clue if they share busses but my intuition says no. I don't think any of the Deluxe resorts are that close together to share but I could be totally mistaken. Good question. I know that if we stay at the THV we have to take a THV shuttle, or walk, to get to the SSR buses because the THV are pretty secluded.

I will have to go find out.

I really want to sign Lexi up for a YES program when we go. I know she would love the one at Animal Kingdom.

I was telling my daughter that is a senior in high school and she thinks the idea is really cool. Plus a great environment to learn in.

Sorry, I didn't see this- we must have been posting at the same time.

I agree with your daughter!

I like to split stay. Three in one trip was too much but I like half and hhalf. there are so many great places to stay.

How was Cape May?

popcorn:: Let us know what you find out.

What's the YES program?

CarsLand is supposed to be great and a huge part of DCA once completed. Might be a good idea to wait until crowds simmer down some. I learned my lesson going so close to WoC opening weekend. :scared:

I don't think we'll do either but were thinking about SeaWorld if anything. Now that we may do Miami for a few days, I am little worried about the kids missing 2 full weeks- every teachers' nightmare.

That's what I'm thinking. Wait until after CarsLand opens.

As far as missing school, it happens. One of my students missed almost 3 weeks in November. His grandparets took him to South Africa for two weeks. Then, when he got back, he went to the Bahamas Thanksgiving week and missed those three days. Another student missed the week before spring break for a trip to Israel. Will the teachers provide a packet of work? How does your school district handle absences?

That lobby is AMAZING! So beautiful!!!

I just saw the question about deluxe resorts and buses. Some of them share. CR/BLT, Poly, and GF share buses to DHS and AK. No buses to Epcot because you just transfer monorails at the TTC. YC and BC definitely share. I have read that YC, BC, BWI, Swan, and Dolphin sometimes share. AKL-Jambo and Kidani Village share. I'm not sure about the WL. I've never looked into WL because I have zero interest in that whole theme. :rotfl:

We will most likely go for 12 - 14 days so it will be easy.

Cape May was awesome!!!! We went for dinner not the character breakfast. It was one of our favorites. I loved it and I don't like seafood. Jon and Lexi both like seafood. Jon said the seafood was really fresh. They have huge steamers right there where you can see them steam the seafood.

That is what the program you posted the link for is called. You can even get discounted tickets for the park if you go buy through them.

It's such a far and expensive trek for, that's what I would do. And speaking of, when is FL in MK set to be complete?

We haven't had any issues yet. Gabby had to bring home a paper this trip to have me sign with all her grades but that's it. I emailed all of her 7 seven teachers but have only heard back from one.

It's stunning. :lovestruc It is by far the most beautiful lobby I've been in. The GCV lobby is close.

I've heard it's terrific! I'll add it to my maybe list.

:rotfl2: I didn't even notice the acronym.

Fall of 2012

A nice long trip. :cloud9: How many park days?

We will get the 10 day PH but this past trip we used only 9. Technically we used 10 but we only used it to get into DHS to eat. We wanted another pool day.

I would post pictures for you but we were to busy eating and forgot.

I only know it because I was just reading about it on the homeschool board. :rotfl:

Fall of 2012

That could mean anytime from September to November. :scared1:

That's perfect to me. I like having 2-3 down days. I am over going commando. I'll be back. The panic is gone.

 Too funny. I'm afraid DH would die laughing if I took pictures at WDW but he seems to have NO issue of me taking and posting his musings on FB.

I only know it because I was just reading about it on the homeschool board. :rotfl:

:thumbsup2

Fantasyland won't be finished soon enough! I am so impatient.
I'm hoping it is done around the same time points for DVC @ the GF go on sale. ;)

I've read an Four Seasons is suppose to open a golf resort at WDW next year. I may have to cheat on Mickey next summer. :rolleyes1

I think Fantasyland may be my main reason for wanting to go to WDW. I love Beauty and the Beast so the Beast's Castle is a draw for me.

Have you been to Disneyland? Their FL kicks boo-tay on WDW's. I am hoping WDW's will have had a major face lift.

Any more news to the GF DVC rumor? I know how you adore your GF.

:faint: Cheat on Mickey?

:thumbsup2 You will be shocked at their IASW. It's missing like 4 rooms, as is their POTC, and the que is all indoors. :scared1:

I will say thought their Splash is far superior. They also have the Country Bears and Carousel of Progress and the People Mover. :lovestruc Their Tiki Room is blasphemous at best.

:faint: Cheat on Mickey?

I have been to DL and I totally agree about their FL. SOOOO much better than WDW. I  it! There is something magical about Disneyland. WDW is magical as well, but DL is just different. I love Indiana Jones. Wish they'd bring that to Florida. The one thing WDW has over DL is Epcot. There's nothing like sampling cocktails around the World Showcase. :lovestruc

I haven't read anything else about GF. I really hope it isn't just a rumor. The next points purchase is going to be a large one and I want it at the GF. :rolleyes1

I am selective if I'm going to cheat on Mickey. And the Four Seasons will lure me out of his clutches. :rotfl:

I agree. Epcot is amazing from what I've seen. I have yet to devour it properly though. On this next trip the kids will be old enough to chill a while or at least self-regulate and entertain while DH and I enjoy ourselves. We were so rushed during our WS time last trip, we only got a small sampling of how great it is.

A large one? Do tell......popcorn::

:lmao: Too funny. I felt like I was cheating on Walt when I finally gave in and went to WDW. I cannot even imagine the guilt I'd feel if I stayed away from DVC. :rotfl:

How can the Four Seasons build a golf resort at WDW and not be Disney property?

Oh you MUST explore Epcot and the greatness that is the Grey Goose Slushie!

Since I'll have a niece this summer, our next family point purchase will probably be enough for a 2 bedroom for at least 2 weeks a year. I'm hoping if the DVC GF rumors are true, they'll be some awesome deals when they begin to sell.

I think you're honoring Walt by visiting his two parks. ;)

Apparently, Disney sold (I could be wrong) some land to the Four Seasons to build this golf resort. So, it'll be on Disney property but not a WDW resort. I guess it'll be like the Swan and Dolphin. While I love love love WDW resorts, there is nothing like the Four Seasons. :cloud9: This is why Disney needs to build DVC at the GF.

Oh have you seen the new health and wellness suites at the CR? Amazing!

I've had it and it's fabulous. I'm dying to try The Ditch- the bar in Mexico. I'd also love to throw back a few in the UK.

The swan and Dolphin aren't Disney properties? Aren't they in the middle of the action? Who owns them?

I haven't seen the health and wellness suites.....sounds neat. What are they all about?

I look forward to the Hall of Presidents too. I am a geek. And the details, you know what I mean? I love the little details like the windows on Main Street.

Look at them here :goodvibes

:thanks: They look beautiful. I like the idea of destressing with some yoga while at WDW. I also like that they are doing something new to the rooms at the POR. :thumbsup2

Love the Hall of Presidents and cried during the movie. Consider me a geek too. It's really cool actually. I do know what you mean. I also love the windows, the little stories behind everything.

I visit Great Moments with Mr Lincoln every trip. Geek here.

You know I always have Disneyland for POTC and the other rides. WDW is probably a one time shot for this California girl.

I need to figure out how to make GG slushies. I think they'd make a great 4th of July treat.

My fingers are crossed regarding the GF. If that doesn't happen, we'll buy more points at BLT and some at AKV.

The Swan and Dolphin are owned by the Sheraton and Westin. At times, you can get a better deal at one of those then at the other Disney deluxe resorts. But, no Magical Express or dining plan.
