So I have decided that if I can find someone to split a room with me I really want to go to Disney in Oct. Jon already said he would take time off to watch Lexi. I know I have mentioned this trip before but I am really frustrated because I can't find anybody who wants to go. I don't want to stay with a complete stranger. I can't believe nobody here wants to go. I am thinking that if I go late enough in Oct then I can get an AP for this trip and for next years trip.

I would love to go but not sure it's in the cards $$$. What dates are you thinking?

Well I am flexible. I just want to go when they are having MNSSHP and Food and Wine. I really can't believe that nobody here wants to go. :confused3 It isn't even that they can't afford it. They just don't "like" Disney. They all think I am crazy anyways. That is why I love the Dis people here get it. Really I just wanted to vent.

:goodvibes Vent away, we all get it! I have a couple of friends who get my love for Disney aside from people I have met here. My friend Stacie gets it for sure. Her hubby works for Disney. I don't think she even knows about the DIS or my dirty little DIS secret. :ssst: :rotfl2:

I was surprised when my best friend wanted to go to Disneyland with me in February. She understands how much I love it but isn't as crazy about it as I am.:confused3

I just priced it out if I ended up going by myself (11/18-25) @ Pop with QS Dining is a little bit over $1200 if I upgrade to POR then it is a little over $1800. I think I could even get it cheaper if I get a room only with a discount and get my tickets from undercover tourist or somewhere like that.

That's the best! :goodvibes One of my dearest friends hate Disneyland like the plague. :faint: Of course we grew up 15 minutes away and even as a child, I don't remember her loving it like I did. In June she was going to join us for a day and then decided against it. Going to Disney with someone who doesn't want to be there (DH circa 1994) is hellacious. :headache:

Sign up for everythingfree that's Disney online and you're bound to get a PIN. PIN codes are terrific. You can score like 40% off room rates. Our first trip was prompted by a PIN postcard I got in the mail. Didn't end up using the PIN but did get free dining back when it was actually a screaming deal (included app and tip). :thumbsup2

Regular APs are $399 each with the discount and $504 a piece for the PAPs.

What I'd love to get are those WDW/Disneyland APs.

Did you decide on a Disneyland surpise trip for your nephews?

I would love the WDW/DL APs. I would force myself to take lots of trips. ;)

Not 100% sure about the timing of DL yet. Airfare has been ridiculous. Plus, I've been doing some research and really want to take the boys once Carsland opens. I'm thinking Spring 2012 might end up being Spring 2013. I'm also thinking of adding a couple of nights at the Four Seasons in San Diego and visit the zoo.

Are you doing Universal or Legoland next year? Or are you sticking to Disney only?

I already have signed up for everything that I can find. I have never gotten a PIN postcard only PIN emails.

Me either. I pay for our vacations and my mom hasn't booked for years and she gets the pins.:confused3

I know, before we went on our trip and I had it already paid off, I was getting them all the time. Now that we are back I haven't gotten anything. I know they have my address because I have gotten other things from them in the mail.

I think it's because they know that we are a captive audience so they don't have to court us.

CarsLand is supposed to be great and a huge part of DCA once completed. Might be a good idea to wait until crowds simmer down some. I learned my lesson going so close to WoC opening weekend. :scared:

I don't think we'll do either but were thinking about SeaWorld if anything. Now that we may do Miami for a few days, I am little worried about the kids missing 2 full weeks- every teachers' nightmare.

Look what I found ladies, could solve some future ticket/how to get the kids released from school issues. It's not only for those who are homeschooled.

I think that is pretty cool.

Not for everyone but neat just the same. I tell people how educational our trip to Disney are because the kids have to share, budget, estimate, problem solve....and now I have proof. ;)

Happy Wednesday. :wizard: 4 days until California :woohoo: and no Disneyland even though I'll be 15 minutes away.

:donald: 536 days until WDW!!! :donald:

:figment: 356 days until ADRs!!! :figment:

:stitch2: 204 days until DVC reservation!!! :stitch2:

We really loved AKV while were there too. When we go as a family next year we are torn between here and BCV. AKV because of the animals. Alexia loved it and BCV because of the pool area. Do the deluxe resorts share buses? I have never looked into it.

I was telling my daughter that is a senior in high school and she thinks the idea is really cool. Plus a great environment to learn in.

AKV is so beautiful. My kids loved it too. The animals were mezmerizing to me. I seriously forgot we were at WDW when sitting on the balcony watching them.

I hear SAB is worth it alone to stay at the BCV. We walked by SAB and it looked pretty cool.

I haven't a clue if they share busses but my intuition says no. I don't think any of the Deluxe resorts are that close together to share but I could be totally mistaken. Good question. I know that if we stay at the THV we have to take a THV shuttle, or walk, to get to the SSR buses because the THV are pretty secluded.
