I'm so glad you are getting in Tuesday! :goodvibes That's terrific! Maybe it'll be a simple thyroid or stress related issue. The body does wacky things. Sending positive vibes.

Anyone here know about tipping Mousekeeping with DVC? We'll have the 4th day T&T service and then check out the 6th day. How much do I tip and when? :confused3

They tested him for thyroid. He was negative. I think that the stress over the PSA plays a part in that.

I'm sure. All stress, even stress over good things, has a reaction on the body. I've seen all kinds of physical reactions to stress. I'll keep you guys in my thoughts and thankfully you've got your appointment tomorrow.

I find it nearly impossible that we've got:

:goofy: 40 days until WDW!!! :goofy:

I started this report on 8/10/10. I know couples who have been married and divorced in that time. :rotfl: I'm wondering what I'm going to do with all of my spare and not so spare time once this trip happens? Oh yes, that's right, write a trip report. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day. Joshua's team plays in the championship at noon today. He said he wants In n Out burger if they win. He said he wants In n Out burger if they lose. ;) I'd love for them to win this tournament. They have become quite a fun team to watch. Its a beautiful game when played properly. Of course we have that kid who just wants to dribble up and shoot without passing and playing the game. Unfortunately his folks don't seem to mind but thankfully our coaches do. wish us luck! pixiedust:

Time really has flown since this started!!

Happy Labor Day!! I hope Joshua's team wins today!! Have fun at In N Out!!:rotfl:

Good luck Joshua!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks ladies! His team won the championship. I've got a very happy boy on my hands. :woohoo: Perfect way to end summer.

In n Out was amazing as usual. Goodness, I love their burgers. They're consistently good. Their fries are fantastic. :cloud9: Especially in the deadly spread they serve. It must be laced with crack.

Hope you both had an no labor today. ;)

Our countdown hits the 30's tomorrow and I'm freaking. :hyper: I need to email Kelly with my final list but I'm still waiting for her bid. I'm hoping my pins arrive some can send them to Betsy to include in the basket too. I think they're going to love the welcome gifts. :thumbsup2

At Joshua's soccer tournament, then lunch with DH at our new Buffalo Wild Wings. After that Gabby and I are going dress shopping for Homecoming. She's picky and I hate shopping so wish us luck. :lmao:

We had one open up here (today) in the Marina shopping center on PCH. They had a sign outside saying "Free wings for a year for the 1st 100 customers". There were people waiting outside YESTERDAY at 2PM!

Oh wow, that's scary. Why does it take so long to get a referral? I'm not the biggest fan of Kaiser. My dad had Kaiser in So Cal when he suffered his life altering stroke. Without going into too much detail, I think they gave me poor advice.

My friend Rod was a victim of SoCal Kaiser. No saying what would have happened if they moved faster, his cancer was pretty advanced, but he did not get what I thought was thorough and swift treatment.

I'm bidding on eBay pins for the kids to trade. Pin trading must have lost some popularity. These things are cheap. I'm paying less than $1 per on. I won 25 for $16.00 with free shipping. :woohoo: I'm bidding on another 25 now with a high bid of $15. And another for $12.

Be careful with the pins on ebay. There are a lot of fake ones out there.

I was going to say the same thing.

We are the ultimate band/music geek family :rotfl2: I did jazz band, stage band, concert band, marching band and vocal jazz (clarinet, keyboard base, bells/mallets and alto lol)

Jeff did jazz, stage and concert band, all trumpet

Taylor plays guitar, drums, sings and composes. He is a digital music major at SPU about to start his sophomore year.

Kendall (HS 11th grade) is in choir

Evan (8th grade) plays trombone in jazz band and hopefully wind ensemble. We will find out next weds if he made it in, if not he will be in Symphonic Band. He takes lessons.

Eric (6th) plays the trumpet and piano, he does lessons for piano.

no forcing needed around here :goodvibes I am so sad you are having to close, that breaks my heart.

Taylor's out of town so I can't get a hold of him but if stuff is on a web site, I'd have the boys take a peek as I'm sure they'd love some new music!

Well the website is www.windmusicplus.com, I haven't shut it down yet, but we're essentially done with orders. There's a number of reasons we are shutting down. First that we are losing money, tons, and the other is we could rent out the office as an apartment and MAKE about half the amount we have been losing monthly.

We're getting too old for this so we're just going to "part it out" on eBay, so to speak. Check it out and see if there's anything they want. I'll give you a deal! :rotfl:

Band geeks. :rotfl2: You're too funny!

Band Geeks Rule! :thumbsup2

I'm sure. My friend was at Disneyland two weeks ago and it was 105* in Anaheim. She didn't belive me when I told her they'd be miserable. She spend over $350 just on admission plus another who-knows-how-much and they didn't last even 6 hours. :scared1:

Yeah, it's been awful here. One of my other DIS friends is flying down from Sacramento tomorrow and it's still pretty warm. I'm meeting her out there for drinks Thursday and that will be enough heat for me.

That sounds nice but very expensive. I like the option of food booths and more choices though I haven't been, I think I'm going to love it. Disneyland's sounds much more locals orientated and not something people would travel specifically for but if they're there during that time, it's a bonus.

It sounds like a nice change from everyday Disneyland especially if you live close and can afford the extra experience. :thumbsup2

Like I said, it's a totally different experience. I look forward to all the fancy dinners and stuff. Last festival we dropped $2K on dinners, the cooking school and other events. I imagine that if it comes back, we'll drop quite a bit more. I mean I bought 295 points at the VGC just so that I could have the 11 month booking advantage and we only live 25 minutes away!

I don't think I read that in your PTR. Yeah Mexico doesnt have ADA. You might fare better on the nice quiet ship while everyone leaves anyway. It sounds heavenly.

In my PTR for WDW I posted a link to my cruise PTR. I figured I might get some cruise line junkies on the thread if I posted on the Cruise line board.

Pretty soon you're going to need a new PTR! The mods might close it after page 250! :lmao:

They started lining up here in Thursday morning for today's grand opening. They get 52 coupons, good for an order of 6 weeks a week. Not even sure if they come with sauce. :lmao: Might be nekkid wings.

Their food was just okay. Whitewater Snacks' nachos are way better than BWW's hands down. Their wings are good though. Nothing like Legend's but good.

Cool, I love a good cruise report. I'll check it out. Feel free to link it here too. :)

You've got 295 points at the GCV? Holy moly girl! That's awesome. I'm looking for an add on. We've been there twice since buying and this will be our first trip home. In retro, we should have bought at GCV but I wanted the 11 month THV advantage too. Guess that's what add ons are for ;) Is it all one contract? Do you buy through Disney or resale?

Going anywhere fun for drinks? I lived by the Fishtail and we loved it. Best happy hour ever. Not even sure if it's still there.

How's Fran feeling?

So Cal Kaiser are criminal. Horrible. Hate them. :(

:smickey: 39 days until WDW!!! :smickey:

It really seems impossible that we're so close.

Happy back-to-school everyone! :cool1:

Well, Scotty was back to the Dr today. She scheduled him for a tread mill. She wasn't overly thrilled that the ER Dr didn't give him one or schedule one. He has to go and do blood work next week and hopefully we will figure this out.

Good news though! She told him not to worry about the PSA test. That although he is referred to the Urologist his numbers are not that high and that bicyclists often have high PSAs. This was a huge relief.

I don't know how how these people can wait overnight for something as silly as free food.

The 295 is two contracts. We originally got 165, but in the first year it opened, we blew through that AND our 248 SSR points, so when we took out the mortgage on the 1st street property we included add ons for VGC, BCV and VWL. Now we have points coming out our ears, but that's OK, I rented some this year and I plan on renting some for next year. When Fran feels better, maybe WE will use all the points.

When you say Fish Tale, is that on Bellflower? I'm meeting her at DCA for drinks. I think she is at Goofy's Kitchen right now.

Fran is feeling awful. The morphine makes her moody, but she needs it for the pain. Then she falls asleep.

I'm sorry she's feeling poorly. Do you have someone specifically for pain management? Morphine is some serious stuff.

Yes, the Fish Tale is on Bellflower near the Target. I used to live right near there on Eagle. Such great memories. Have fun tonight! Wish I was going to DCA for drinks. I am taking the kids for sushi though. 50% off rolls at a pretty good place actually. And cnot too far from home which is a miracle.

They'd have to give me a lot more than 6 free wings a week to spend my time in line. I guess they can say they were there?

I may be interested in taking a few of your rentable points off your hands. I'd love the GCV over next Christmas but will never get it with only a 7 month window. Do you cruise with your points too? I bet the cruises cost a lot of points.

I found your cruise PTR. Bummer they're getting rid of Mexico but how fun for you both! I love Mexico, always have. Once you go in a block or two from the porttourist areas, it's fabulous. The food is amazing. I know you can't deship in Cano but if something changes, let me know. We found the best hole in the wall place for breakfast around the corner from the port/shopping area. Literally the same food, if not better, for a fraction of the cost. I love the town of Cabo once you get away from that big shopping area.

I will have them look at it tomorrow after the in-laws head home! Band Geeks do rule!

Fingers crossed one of them made it into the band he wanted for the year, he will find out today. It's been killing him all summer not to know!

GG order placed and paid for. PDS is working on that order including the cake. I've heard Publix has a nice bakery so I'm going that route for chloes cake vs Disney. Betsy made the basket and sent pics. Still waiting for pins to arrive from eBay. I've decided to just pack those and the colored pencils. I'm too crazy busy to make it to the post office. :hyper:

It's all happening! :cool1:

Need to do a little more AKV research as far as hotel activities and request my THV.

And because I haven't spent enough money, I bought RideMax last night. :lmao: I just can't get into TouringPlans.

ETA: just added another forgotten-can't-live-without item to my GG order.

Definitely do that night goggles, it's cool! Also...not sure if you are there on a Monday or not but they were doing something called a Monday mingle for DVC that we got an invite to. A "sundown mingle" actually. Didn't work for us but might want to keep an eye out for an email, we got it maybe 1-2 weeks before the trip.
