Well I'm glad that I helped you figure this out before you had all your days planned completely. It takes some serious planning to eat and drink F&W properly! :rotfl2:

Oh no doubt, I'm so glad! Even worse, imagine if we got there and stuck with the old plan? :scared: Unaaceptable! Thank you so much for your advice. :goodvibes

My first year at Epcot's Festival we had ADRs one per day. It was sort of a mistake. We were there from Friday to Friday and we went to Epcot every day (HS for one afternoon) and we barely got to try everything we wanted to once. No ADRs for me when we are staying at BCV only at VWL.

So smart. We are at THV and AKV so no where near Epcot. I think I'm going to cancel our Epcot ADRs. We won't make it to Epcot daily but I've got 4 big chunks of days set out for Epcot with 3 other optional/adjustable possibilities. It's a disease! I seriously love the planning. I printed out the map you posted and matched it to the menus. Then I looked at out current itinerary and compared it to event we'd like to do. The Italy beer pairing is Michael's first choice.

Now I see why Epcot DVC resorts are so incredibly popular during F&W!

Only you know how your family and you will eat through the festival and hopefully we can enjoy some time on Monday grazing from booth to booth, but if you are an omnivore it really does take some planning. There is one woman on the dvctalk yahoo group whose TRs that I read and she doesn't eat any seafood and hardly seems to eat from any of the kiosks that serve anything exotic so when she goes, all she does is hit a couple booths and they are the same ones every year. To me that seems just silly. For me I want to try almost everything and that takes a plan.

I remember in 2009 we would get all the food at each one and probably 2 glasses of wine. It averaged $12-20 per booth depending on the cost of the food, but within three booths we were full for a while. That was about the equivalent of a couple drinks and a CS meal. Since I got most of the drinks everything worked out quite well! :thumbsup2

Good luck in the replanning! At least you have to rethink the first day bfore you start thinking about F&W!

Wow! I have a busy week at work and end up pages and pages behind! :lmao:
Glad you decided to change your flights. It sounds like a much less stressful day with no bat mitzvah. :thumbsup2
I'm loving all the various resort photos of places I've never stayed. Fun!

For sure! Even the ones that don't look thrilling, we'll try. There's a woman on the F&W thread who gets her passport stamped and tries everything. I'd love to tackle that. Is Monday the 15th the day were going to try to meet up in F&W? :rotfl2:

:rotfl: Getting most of the drinks and being able to try all of the food, it's a win win! I'd love to try it all. I can imagine though being pretty stuffed and happily buzzed. Are the wine portions really the size of thimbles?

I'm so glad I changed our flight. If mama isn't peaceful, ain't nobody peaceful.

Jen decided on the POR so I posted what I had though I swear I thought I took more in room photos? :confused3

Hope you have a relaxing weekend with such a busy work week!

I'm very glad I changed our flight too. Arriving around 5:30 or 6:00 sounds so much better than 8:30 or 9:00. And with the luggage thing figured out, we'll be golden. We'll get some early evening pool time, which is my favorite time of the day, grab some tandoori (apparently the AoA food court serves tandoori), then maybe watch a movie by the pool, and/or sack out.

Shabbat shalom!

It's so nice after a long day of travel to have some downtime to just relax! :thumbsup2 After several trips of taking a 6:30am so we could be at Disney by lunchtime, we realized that the day was lost anyway. Now we take the 10:30am flight so nobody has to wake at the crack of dawn. The kids are still tired from traveling but we're not expecting them to tour the parks. Much better!

Shabbat Shalom! Or at least it will be after Joshua's soccer practice. Try being a Jew in Utah.....

Your way sounds perfect! We don't do the parks on arrival day either. What time do you normally arrive at your resort? Do your kids ask to go to the park or are they good with resort time? Mine have been great with *just* resort time thus far....knock on wood.

Anything fun planned this weekend other than some well earned down time?

So it looks like I *get* to redo Day 1 as I changed our flights. pixiedust: I am so happy I decided to change them for so many reasons. I'm sad we'll miss our friend's DD's bat mitzvah but in all reality we would have only been able to stay an hour and sometimes, leaving during the middle is more of a scene than not attending. We'll give her our congrats before. I'm at peace with this decision. So back to the plan. A bigger, better plan! :cheer2:

Saturday Oct 13:
- leave SLC for MCO
- arrive in MCO at 4:30 pm. So much better than our 9:00 pm arrival. :cool1:
- not stress about ME, bell services, or when our luggage will arrive. I've decided that DH and I will each pack small carry on that will have everyone's pjs, meds, necessary toiletries (Gabby's flat iron, not a necessity :rotfl2:), swim suits, and a change of clothes for the next day. I'm going to have AoA hold our luggage overnight and then transfer it to the THV the next day. This will save me time and money. :rotfl2:
- check in and check out AoA in the form of swimming or eating
- do what we didn't between swimming and eating ;)
- shop. The gift shop looks FUN! And I love resort specific merchandise. - - bed at a decent hour to be up and at 'em the next day for a possible rope drop at MK.

Love your plans!!
And a flat iron is a necessity for me. So is mascara. :rotfl:
How are your F&W plans coming?

Ae you packed?? A peace with POR? ;) Jenna is there now, do your dates overlap?

My plans for F&W are food except for any extras aside from the kiosks. I forgot to add that there are some deminars (seriously hate that made up word) that we could do on our Epcot days and they're cheap $11-14 with a DVC $2 discount. :thumbsup2 We may try to make one of those too. Michael is very indecisive at this moment. He pretty much doesn't want to decide. :rotfl2: But he's the foodie and wine lover. I'd eat Kraft Mac n Cheese and drink wine from a box with Alison and be perfectly happy.

Yes, I'm still thinking about the 15th, that's Monday right? Well maybe they are bigger than the size of thimbles, but not much.

Here's a good indicator. This the the sausage from Germany. It's pretty big. You can see my hand in the picture so you get an idea of how big the glass of wine is. It IS bigger than an thimble, but it's not a good sized glass of wine, it's closer to a large taste.

I prefer Velveeta Shells and Cheese, thank you very much! :snooty: But as long as the box of wine fits easily in my suitcase I'm OK with that! :thumbsup2

:cool1::cool1::cool1: Getting closer!!!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm in AoA planning overdrive. The only problem is that it hasn't been open that long. :rotfl: Your menu was most helpful. We love tandoori.

Okay, so not thimble sized but not more than a couple swallows. That's good to know. The sandwich looks delicious and huge. Guess it depends on the kiosk. I've seen tiny samples and that sausage looks loooong. And what kind of bread is that? It looks like a puffy pretzel.

That was one of the biggest offerings the year that I went. They called it a Nurenberger Sausage in a Pretzel Roll. That's one of the favorites of the festival. One person could probably call it lunch if they had an appetite like me.

::yes:: I eat fairly small portions so that sausage roll could easily be a meal for me.

I seriously love F&W porn. :cloud9: Thank you for posting that!

Hope you had a nice weekend. :goodvibes Tomorrow is Joshua's birthday. He'll be 11. I have no little kids. It's a mix of  and :woohoo:

:rotfl:

Your trip is getting so close now!!

Happy Birthday a bit early for Joshua!

Time to have a baby!;)

You first! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Thank you. We're swimming tomorrow. He's bringing a buddy. M is working so we'll do his cake Tuesday which also happens to be our 19th anniversary. For those lurking out there, do not have a baby the day before your anniversary. :headache: It makes celebrating a little tricky.

How are you? How are your plans coming?

Yeah, uh that boat has sailed. My baby turned 16 last week. Talk about feeling old. Yeah that makes a fun twist in planning when those two are so close.

I'm just okay. The planning has kind of stalled, there has been so much going on. Good and bad that I just kind of zoned out on it.

On the plus side Kacy my oldest has a job interview with Costco on Tuesday. The starting pay is $11 an hour and they guaranteed her 25 hours a week. Not a bad first job.

That's a fantastic first job! :woohoo: Sending big vibes to Kacy! Is there a discount too? And a guaranteed 25 hours is fabulous. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hoping the bad stuff remedies quickly. :goodvibes

When the manager called she told Kacy that she is interviewing her for 3 different positions. The food court, being a runner and stocking. It is the perfect job for her. It is less than 2 miles from her college, so that is really convenient. I have no clue about a discount, Kacy is hoping for her own Costco card, silly girl.

The bad well, most is normal drama. Scotty had some standard blood work done and his PSA was high. It could be a false positive but it was high enough to alert his Dr and he had to be retested. We are waiting on word from her and then there will be a biopsy with the urologist. Kind of scary especially if you go look online at what it could mean. Never, ever should do that but he did.
