That is high for Poly. :( Not good since I'm hoping to stay there for Marathon Weekend in January....
Nathaniel is really a good kid, too. Super talented artist (with the angst-ridden personality to go with it) but super neurotic with anxiety and depression. He can be my biggest helper or my worst nightmare. :rolleyes1

Amanda

You're so funny! I can't believe you're still messing with your hotels! :rotfl2:

We use our frequent flyer mikes for free flights, and with canceling two trips in a row, we've got a lot of miles!

I thought that seemed high too. I registered at Disney with a new email address and of course got a PIN this morning for 20% off rooms but only through August. The CM the other day said it's too early for October PINs.

:goodvibes Tough dx to deal with for sure. Takes a lot of patience. I work as a mental health therapist, adults not kids, but those are very common dx. It's fabulous you've advocated and treated early. We see a lot folks who weren't dx and/or treated.

DD is a free thinker for sure. She's got Benign Rolandic Epilepsy and IGF-1 Deficiency. She had Sweet's Syndrom as an infant. Have you heard of Sweet's? At the time it was rare. She's a trooper. She's got the strongest constitution of anyone I know.

That's good that you don't lose your miles when you cancel. :thumbsup2 I bet you've got a ton! I think we have enough for 3 free one ways to MCO so we'll only have to buy two. :yay: We're late bloomers into this whole air miles thing.

How's Fran? You? Sunny So Cal? :cloud9:

It's beautiful here today. Heading out to plant the garden and then Gab has a soccer game. DH and I went to see Social Distortion last night with some friends so I'm pretty tired right now. I am generally an early to bed, early to rise. Even when I'm late to bed, I still can't sleep in.

:goofy: 154 days until WDW!!! :goofy:

No chronic issues are fun at all! Nathaniel's doing better but isn't loving the new boundaries. :rolleyes1

New boundaries are a bummer. Enforcing new boundaries is even a bigger bummer. No boundaries as an adult is tragic. As hard as it is, it's best to do it now, the younger the better.

Happy Mother's Day!

I need to catch up here. It was a long, long week with no time for anything but work. And I changed DLR dates. The Christmas crowds scared me. :rotfl:

How is your planning going?

Happy Mothers Day!!!

As to Hawaii, really you can't go wrong with time of year other than crowds and prices. If you can go off season it will make a HUGE difference in airfare. We love Maui and the Big Island. If you haven't been though, doing Honolulu for at least a couple of days to see Pearl is a great thing. I'm hoping to do that on our next trip, either a combo of Aulani/Big Island or Aulani/Maui.

Thanks! :goodvibes It's been a great day! We planted the garden yesterday so I've been messing around in it for a while. Had lunch on the deck with the kids. Got some neat gifts (see FB). Clothes from Gabby not shown as she was far too lazy to wrap them. Michael is at the FD today so no fabulous dinner for me. Unless I make it myself which we know isn't going to happen. ;)

You changed your dates? To? :rotfl2:

Trip is good. Universal is out, golf x 2 is in. :smokin:

Thanks Cynthia, you too! Hope you're having a great day!

I'm learning what you said about Hawaii is very true as I investigate. It is very $$$. Summer and the winter holidays seem like the actual worst time to go as far as airfare and hotels. Michael is going to have to suck it up and stay at Aulani for a few days for no other reason than everywhere else is too expensive. :lmao: I'd love to see Pearl. I'm sure we'll do a Maui/Aulani split of some sort.

How's your October planning coming? Did I read you're coming in a day early now?

Well said.

Happy Mother's Day!

Amanda

Happy Mother's Day Amanda! Hope you're being properly spoiled.

Still looking at airfare and ruminating on ADRs. :surfweb:

Yes, mid winter or spring break depending on when yours falls can be much better flight pricing wise. And President's weekend is actually a decent deal point wise.

I am most likely coming in on the 16th. Haven't booked yet and it means I'll be leaving the 22nd but based on my options it looks to be the best deal. Flights haven't budget at ALL, at least anything decent so my best option is going to be using miles for 1/2 off and that'll still run me $272! It means giving up a red eye but the price really goes up for that and it's just not worth it. I'll likely book in a couple of weeks so we will see what it looks like then. Our August flights are up almost $100 per ticket r/t.

So it'll mean 1 night at AKL and then 5 at WL. We juggled our ADR's around for it and are actually planning to do the deluxe dining plan for that first night and milk it so it works out pretty well, TIW for the rest.

Great idea. If you work the Deluxe DDP right, you might be able to get 2 days worth of food out of it. :thumbsup2 Unless you've got a 2 TS meal but then you can use your CS and snack the next day.

What happened with moving from the VWL?

I agree, flights haven't budged at all. I'm super stoked for our return flight but would love to see how outbound drop a little. It's as much as our RT ticket was in 2009. :faint:

Sounds like a fabulous day!

I changed my DLR dates to February, President's week. The holiday crowds kind of scared me. And I really want to be able to experience the attractions without 2 hour waits.

We're still tentatively planning on visiting Islands of Adventure one day to see Harry Potter. It is such an expensive day. I have to research ticket options.

I finally said Universal or golf. :rotfl2: I can't research much more than one or the other. Plus if he's bringng his clubs he may as well go twice. The kids are ho-hum about Universal. I'm sure they'd love it when they got there but for now, they don't know how cool it is so they're not asking. ;)

I think that's a great idea. :thumbsup2 Did you look into the GCV or are you not going to use points?

 Hi stranger! How are you? Still planning your trip for this Fall? Haven't seen you here in ages.

I haven't been on here for ages because I was sad. :sad1: We had to cancel our trip due to unexpected car repair expenses that totaled over $2,000 between both vehicles. :scared1:

How's Fran? You? Sunny So Cal? :cloud9:

Well yesterday she got something new on her leg, it's called skin substitute. I should do an update on my TR, I have pictures that aren't too gory.

She's feeling better with the new Doctor and that he is giving her progress.

:sad1: I'm so sorry. Thankfully Disney will be there when you are ready. How Lexi? Anything fun planned for the summer? Are you finished with the school year?

I love pictures. Even gory ones. I'm glad that she's doing better. Please update.

How are you? When is your spa weekend? I'm trying to plan a weekend to go to So Cal with my friend this summer. I'll let you know when and maybe, if Fran is feeling better, and you're in town, we can do dinner?

Chloe's big day is so soon. We're working on the program as I type.

Michael leaves for Africa the day after her bat mitzvah.

There is a good chance I'm going to end up my own client. No really. My plate runneth over.
