Kiddie question about Coronado(CSR)

I have 2 boys 3 & 5 and the one thing that takes away the stress of the day for them is to dig in the sand. I picked CSR to stay at b/c of the dig site. My question for all you Coronado experts is can I purchase sand pails and shovels in the gift shop or maybe they give them with their meals?? I really don't want to have to pack it in the luggage, but they will be much needed. Does anyone know?

You can purchase them in the gift shop and also at the main pool.

Buzz, thanks so much for the info. You have put my mind at ease. I knew one of you CSR pros would be able to answer my question. On your site you mention that you can get lifejackets at the dig site. Do you have to pay to rent them? Thanks for all your help. Hey, also do you have any input on best place to request a std room w/ kids ages 3 & 5? I was thinking Cabanas? Thanks again.

No, they are free to use for resort guests. Just look for this storage unit.

In this order are my favorites

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

Cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.
