Does Kidani have an area similar to Jambo, the big area out back with the fire pit, that you can just hang out and explore?

Also, last time we stayed at Jambo I remember being able to use night vision goggles with a CM. Do they do that at Kidani? If not, do they still do it at Jambo and where?

Thanks!

The area in back of Kidani is very similar to Jambo, only smaller. And the observation areas actually have a better view of the savanna than at Jambo.

When we were there in June, there were no night vision goggles at Kidani, but a CM thought that they would be getting them. Maybe someone else can confirm if they have them yet or not.

Hope that helps.

We were at Jambo 3 weeks ago. They still have the night vision viewing with a cm. I am not sure of the location. I do not know if it is available at KIDANI.

We stayed at Kidani two weeks ago.
They did not have Night Vision Goggles then.

At Jambo, they are behind the pool. I used them one night last year, they are cool. They intentionally feed the animals in that area so that you can see them.

We just returned from six nights at Kidani and didn't see any night vision goggles but LOVED the resort! We had many wonderful views of the animals (especially the giraffes) while we were there and we had many pleasant encounters with the CMs in all areas. The cultural representatives from Africa were so pleasant and full of information. We would go back again in a heartbeat.
I should note that we are two adults traveling without our adult children. We didn't miss having a counter service restaurant there at all. After we arrived we walked over to Jambo House for a quick lunch at the Mara, but other than that we had a light breakfast in our studio and had lunch and dinner at the parks or in a hotel restaurant. We also tried Sanaa for dinner on our first night and had a window table with a great view of the savannah. We enjoyed our dinner and got some excellent recommendations fro Luis, our server. We shared a Chai tea cream for dessert (something like a mousse) that we loved, very light and refreshing.
Have a wonderful time on your vacation. We miss Kidani already!!
