Hello everyone,

We have an upcoming trip booked in a 1 BR standard view room at Kidani. We were going to book a savannah room but as of now there are not any available for our package. The last time we stayed at AKL we were at Jambo house in a value studio and then a savannah view studio. My son loved seeing the animals at the resort last time and was asking if he would be able to again. I have read that I could put a room request to be by the Pumba elevators which may give us a chance at a partial savannah view. Is there any where else at Kidani you can see the savannah from while not in your room? I remember at Jambo you could see it while walking through the hallways.

Thanks

Yes! You can see them from the lobby area, hallways and community hall. The community hall has an awesome balcony off of it to sit out there and watch the animals. The giraffes were so close on our last visit! You can also see some animals from the pool too. You have to eat at Sanaa, our favorite restaurant at Disney so far!

We stayed in a 2BR Standard View in December with a very nice view of the Pembe Savanna. We were in 7935 which is also convenient to the pool and I believe is near the end of the Rafiki section. Something like 7X39 would be a nice 1 BR for Standard view IMO. When we requested we asked for north trail, high floor, something like 7X35 and were given exactly what we asked for. There are plenty of viewing areas around the resort.

Thank you for the information. What do you recommend to eat at Sanaa? We ate at Boma last time and loved that as well

I am in love with the bread service, it is SO good! The last time we were there, they took us into the kitchen and showed us how they make the bread, it’s so neat! Honestly I usually just get the bread service and make it my meal. My husband and brother love the steak dish as well. I’ve had mussels there before that were delicious, but I don’t see it on the menu anymore. I’ve had nothing bad there. Our kids loved the decorate your own cookie dessert too!
