Here are some photos of the Kidani construction - taken 1/16/08
The first few photos show the construction headquarters with Kidani in the background. This is located near the Publix grocery off of 192 next to Orange County resort. The Publix is about 600 yards from Kidani (as the crow flies) or about 3 miles by car!

The remaining photos were all taken from 192 about 500 yards from the construction and AKL - you can see AKL on the right in the past couple of photos.

Lol about Publix, it is useful there but as you say quite a distance by car!

I didn't have a good view of that area - although it is between where I took the photos and the construction. It did appear that the ground has been prepped for the pool area, but I could not see any excavation or concrete work from my vantage point.

I may need to take my hard hat next trip and see how close I can get !

You can't really see Kidani from the Publix lot - I took these photos from the nearby Orange County Resort sales tour parking area - which is immediately adjacent to the construction "village" in the photos.

The other photos were taken just off HWY 192 , which does offer a pretty good view of Kidani. I doubt that either area will be visible from the pool area or even the 1st or 2nd floors, but upper floors will probably be able to watch the traffic on 192 - unless some sort of visual barrier is added once the building construction is completed.

Those are more great pics! Kidani is really starting to look like something. Can't wait to make my summer 2009 2 br standard Kidani reservation!
