Kidani Bus Stop

Just back from Kidani (11-29 to 12-5) and the bus stops look like they are ready to go. I actually couldn't really find a reason why they were not being used by the time we left.
All the signs are up, there are flat screen TV's installed and working in every waiting area, as are the garbage pails. Vending machines are in place, the Christmas decorations are up and there's even music playing. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get them uploaded.

On a side note, we arrived at 9am on Sunday and the room was ready which was pretty cool. We got room 7766 which was a dedicated 2bdrm overlooking the sunset savanna. The room was all the way to the left of the lobby, almost to the end so it was one of the last rooms to be completed- which would make it still very very new.
Anyways, there were several things missing from the kitchen area. 1 dinner plate, 2 small drinking glasses, and 1 fork. All of which was reported and replaced, but really? If you break something or notice that it's missing REPORT IT! noone is going to yell at you (except here)

Looks great! When we saw the bus stops in May that was a "what were they thinking?" moment. Glad they have cover now.

So what has changed? we were there in summer and I remember we had to run to the main building when it rain, did they add cover all the way to the enterance?

Yes it is covered all the way to the main part of the building. After you pass the round turret looking structure w/ the vending maching the pathway turns right and leads you to a ramp that goes to the main bldg.

Would have gotten more pictures but the magical express bus pulled in and i had to leave.

I just got back, but I stayed at Jambo house. I was talking to one of the valet people and they were told that that the new bus stop would not be open until January.
That does not seem to make sense since it does look completed. I really felt sorry for the Kidani people having to wait for the buses in the one area while the bus stop is being worked on. I am sure it made an impact on the buses getting to Jambo House, since only one bus at a time could load and/or unload at Kidani. It seemed as though we waited for the buses forever.

There were individual bus stops there when we stayed in June. We thought it was odd that the last stop which was marked for DTD I think, did not have a roof over it.

We just got back from Animal Kingdom Lodge and we were told by the bus drivers that the new stop was opening on Monday.

I must have missed something. We have stayed at JAMBO HOUSE but never KIDANI VILLAGE. Did KV not have bus stops?

Yes they did have bus stops when they opened. The big change is that it is now covered from the resort to the bus stop.

Hmm... When we were at Kidani, the only bus stop was right by the front door. I saw 2 buses from 3 individual destinations all lined up. I should have taken a picture. Of course, none of them were the place we wanted to go to.

We find bus service to be hit or miss. One trip it is great. The next trip we wait around a lot. This was our first trip to AKL, both Kidani and Jambo. We go back to Jambo in Feb, hopefully it is better.

I still think the best we consistently get is OKW. Problem with BCV and BWV is that they wrap around the lake and go to all 5 resorts.

My first full day there! Perfect!!
The temporary bus stop in front of the Kidani lobby was a mess when I stayed at Jambo last month. Too many people waiting for too many buses at the same spot!
