Kidani 2 bedroom- lock off vs dedicated

The difference is the lockoff 2nd bedroom is a studio- 1 queen bed and 1 pullout couch and the dedicated is like a reg hotel room with 2 queen beds. If you need to use both beds the dedicated would be more comfortable, but the lockoff would have the small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.

Lock off will also have two outside doors to the hallway.

As stated you will lose one queen size bed in the lock off but you gain the kitchenette in the studio.

Really depends on the make up of your group.

We've had 2 dedicated 2 bedrooms in Kidani, and I think that the balcony is huge! It may span all 3 rooms, we all enjoyed the balcony so very much!

We have stayed in both villa types at KV. We prefer the dedicated 2 bedroom because of the balcony set-up. With the dedicated, the balcony spans all 3 rooms of the villa. With the lock-off, the balcony is divided between the 1 bedroom portion, and the studio portion. That meant that we all couldn't sit on the balcony together - we had a wall dividing us. It made conversations very interesting.

Is this something that will be available in the requests section of online check-in? We already have a 'close to transportation' request that we put in when we made the reservation, would we lose that?

Thanks for the info, can't wait to get there in a few weeks.

shmooey: Dedicated vs. lock-off is a guaranteed category, not a request. It's done when you book the stay, and will be listed on your confirmation.

Hmmmm, my reservation just says 2br - standard view. But we'll be ok with either. I guess we'll just see when we get there. Thanks for the info. :)

Thanks all. :goodvibes The make up of our party is myself, DH, DD15, DD14, her BFF, and DS 11. I'm thinking that the extra fridge might be nice for them to have but I hate sleeper sofas and to have anyone stuck on them. We'll keep the living space, living sace. Hmm....what to do.....

And we also love our balcony time. I'm leading towards the dedicated.

Agreed. We just stayed at a 2 bedroom lock off unit. We stayed in the lock off section as there were only 3 of us. It was great to have our own entrance and kitchenette. Our friends have 4 kids, so for them having 2 full baths was a plus. We also loved that we had our own bathroom. We were able to come and go and not have to worry about bothering anyone else.

When we went with another family, we did the lock off too and it was terrific!

I'm thinking of doing the dedicated. Thanks all. :goodvibes
