Hi!
I'm so excited--I just made reservations for my hubby & I for the tour on May 25th!! After I got off the phone, I thought--man, I hope we can get there in time. I booked the 8:30 tour and we are staying at CBR. Will the buses be running in time for us to get there 15 mins. before the tour starts??? Now I'm freaking out---should I switch to the 9:00?? Help!
:earsgirl: :earsboy:

I believe the buses start running about a hour and a half before the park opens. Assuming MK opens at 9, you should have no problems. If you post your question in the CBR FAQ II thread, CBR expert safetymom could confirm this for sure. You'll love the tour - we did it in December and it was one of the highlights of our trip.

We really enjoyed the KTTK Tour, as well as the Segway Tour in EPCOT.
As for getting there on time......
We just made our Segway Tour by the skin of our teeth back in January. We were to be at Guest Relations at EPCOT at 8:15 AM, 15 minutes before the start of the tour. We got to the North Bus Depot at POR at 7:35 and waited.....and waited....and waited. Two buses came by for each of the other parks. Still no bus for EPCOT. Two bus drivers assured us one would be coming soon. Finally, at 8:10, the bus pulled up! We still had a couple stops to make before heading to EPCOT. We finally got there at 8:25 and we rushed up to the GS window. Wrong one! We got to the right one at 8:30. We ended up being about 5 minutes late for our Segway Tour but that was fine.
The moral of the story: From now on, we'll book the later tours! I almost booked the 9:30 Segway Tour instead of the 8:30 but didn't. In retrospect, I probably should have.
You'll probably here differing opinions on this subject but this is one instance in which I will not trust the Disney buses again, despite what others might say. It's better to be safe than sorry. Enjoy your tour!!!

We did the Keys to the Kingdom tour back in 99 (before our DS3 came along).
Having been so many times - it was so cool to get a behind the scenes peek at the way that things work. I have had a greater appreciation for the MK in the trips since then. From what I remember we made the later tour time and had breakfast 1st.

Have a great time!!

I did this tour last month, I opted the 9:00 tour just to be safe, however I was staying at Port Orleans, and walked out to the bus pickup area around 7:50AM and was walking underneath the train station around 8:10, plenty of time!

What is this tour? Can you bring your kids with you?

You have to be over 16 to do this tour.

You learn a lot of Disney history and get to see some "behind the scenes" areas, including the utilidors (although we were very disappointed when we finally got down there. We thought we were going to see a lot more than we did). We also went on a few rides.

It lasts about five hours and includes lunch.

My two sisters and I took the tour last December, for the second time. It's alot of walking but definitely worth it.

We just signed up for this one too on May 21! We are so excited, we haven't been without the kids for ages so it will be nice to do something adult. We decided on the 9am tour since we are not really early birds but we'll have our own car so travel won't be an issue.
