I was so happy to hear that Kevin and John reviewed this establishment, since I really enjoy it. The thing is, they didn't try the item that I get most often--the build your own pasta dish.

Has anyone else tried this? It's positively huge (share easily between two people) and it's cooked over an fire grill, giving the pasta and shrimp or chicken a truly unique flavor. I just wish they'd given it a shot to see what they'd think.

Of course, when they go in and buy 4 entrees, it is hard to blame them for not ordering one more. =)

PS: The River Mill pizza is frozen and run through the oven on a conveyor belt. It's edible, but not too enjoyable for me.

PSS: The Magic Bars at the bakery were excellent--for about three bites. They're so rich, it's hard to eat more than that. =S

I love that foodcourt. It so pleasant and relaxing.

They make yogurt parfaits fresh and they also have a make your own pasta which is not to bad. Their pesto sauce is a little too greasy though.

I was also hoping they were going to review the build your own pasta as I love that and have never had a bad dish from there...and it's huge...easily feeds two if you add some extras in it...sounds like they saw the area but didn't see anything that interested them...it's my favorite of the mod/value food courts

They hated the soup, and I was yelling at them through my iPad that they should have tried the tomato soup! It's delicious! We were there one unusually cold December, and I really enjoyed getting that soup at the end of the day more than once during that trip.

The pasta is their signature dish and yes can feed two people, but I finished it myself ... No problem.

They hated the soup

Just the opposite is true.

We thought the chicken noodle soup was terrific.

I said that I'd make a special trip to Port Orleans Riverside just to get the soup.

Couldn't say enough good stuff about the soup.

I'd love a bowl right now.

Oh my, that will teach me to listen to podcasts while I'm working! I guess I can't multi-task anymore! Sorry about that! I saved your review to listen to again, because it's our favorite QS place to eat. I guess I should listen sooner than later!

That is one of the resorts we always stay in. It's like our home away from home. We love the food court and in December when I found the salad bar I was delighted. DH was happy they would make him a salad that had NO dressing on it. As a matter of fact we are headed back again this week!

I love the build your own pasta station. I usually go a few times diring my trip.

We just tried the make your own pasta bar last month, it was fantastic!
We probably could have shared one, but our tastes our different enough we didn't! Neither one of us finished it, by the way.

We both got chicken and it was very yummy.

We never take a trip to WDW without going to the Sassagoula food court at Port Orleans for beignets. So I may never get to the Riverside for a meal unless the beignet makers go on strike :). But we love your food reviews, so keep 'em coming!

We are also fans of this foodcourt. We love the make your own salad and the Carving station is another must do. You have a choice of turkey or roast beef, a couple vegis and the cornbread. John might like this meal.

We enjoy the breakfasts at Riverside Mill as well. The red potatos are quite nice. It's mostly typical CS breakfast fare, but they seem to do it well and the setting is nice, especially in the early am when it isn't crowded, the mist is on the water, the sun is just coming up, the birds are out... really lovely little setting, especially if the weather is nice enough to eat at an outside table by the bridge.
