Kevin, why tables around WS would never work as intended

I'm going to the Food & Wine Nov. 13, do you think the crowd levels will be just as high that weekend?

Yes. That is the last weekend for F&W- the crowds will be pretty big. We will be there 11/8- 11/14, and due to MVMCP dates, EMHs and other scheduling conflicts, we can only visit Epcot on Friday, 11/12 and Sunday, 11/14. We are prepared for big crowds at WS- hopefully FW won't be too bad in the mornings...

I will also be there that weekend.:)

I'll be there that weekend too, we are arriving Thursday 11/11 and plan on doing Epcot on Thursday and was thinking of also going on Friday - guess I'll wait and see how the crowds are. I also want to go over to Festival of the Masters that weekend.

I was looking at TourguideMike projected crowd level and it said crowd level on Nov. 13 was supposed to be a 1 at EPCOT, I thought we were picking a good day.

I was thinking the best thing to do would be put out some of those tall bar-style tables but not chairs. Since so many people use the garbage cans while standing having tables that are about the same size but a little larger and not full of garbage would work. I really don't care if there are places to sit and much as a place to just put the food while I'm eating. I'd much prefer to stand and eat at a table anyway especially with small bites like you get at F&W. The lack of chairs would then help with the issue of camping out.

Of course I guess the same thing could be accomplished by putting out a whole lot more garbage cans.

I think the best solution, as others have said, is high- and low-top tables with no chairs. However, if for some reason Disney is opposed to this, another alternative is for them to supply those plates that have a cut-out for the wine glass when people purchase both food and wine at the same station. I saw some people with them when I went earlier this month (they must have brought their own from home).....

I like the bar table height, no chair idea. I'm sure we'd buy more food if we had someplace to put it. Greg and I usually get 1 each and share, sit if we can find a place. We usually have our own beverage. But we have definitely eaten on our fair share of garbage cans - doesn't deter us from going to F&W though. We're not there this year for the first time in years and years - next year we'll be back :thumbsup2
