We're off to DLRP Monday ( yay) & will be looking to hire a kettle for the duration of our stay. Does anyone know how much it costs & do you get provisions for making tea/coffee?

Hi There,

As you know we are going to the HNY on Sunday! We too need a kettle but ours is to make up baby milk. I am thinking of getting the Russell Hobbs travel kettle from Argos and taking it with us. It comes with 2 cups too. Just through this might come in handy if we are unable to hire one.

I know this doesn't answer your question :rolleyes1 Hope someone else can be of more help!!

I can't get search to work but I think it costs about 30 euros deposit to hire a kettle???? Does anyone know? :confused3

Yes, it is 30 euros - if I remember correctly! In the latest brochure there is a page with a Hotel facilities checklist on it and, according to this, the HNY does have tea and coffee facilities on request. I presume that means that as well as hiring the kettle, you can also buy a tea/coffee basket for about 5 euros

Hi , just to let you know that we stayed in santa fe for 6 days in march 2006 , we tried everyday to hire a kettle but they did not have any :-( . They kept telling us to try again the next day , but after 5 days we didnt see the point in trying because we were going home .
We returned again this year in March , but we purchased a kettle from Tesco ( about £6 ) & it served its purpose . Our friends didnt have room to pack theirs in their baggage on the way home but @ that price they didnt care .

I didn't try to hire a kettle at DLP (Santa Fe) when we went in Feb, but I did miss my cuppa in my room. So I've just bought a new travel kettle on ebay for less than £5 :yay: . Bung some coffee and uht mini milk cartons in my case, and I'll be sorted when we head back in October.
