What’s on your dream excursion list for Icy Strait Pole, Ketchikan, Skagway?
Are there excursions that you would do if you had infinite money? Note: author does not unfortunately have unlimited funds but we can dream can’t we?

So our son was only 7 when we went and so we were pretty limited on options. In a perfect world, I would have loved to go kayaking at ISP (we just did a beach walk because the obstacle course was broken), and I would have liked to see sled dogs or go on a helicopter tour. That being said, in Ketchikan we did the Deadliest Catch tour, and it was a lot of fun. We didn't stop in Skagway.

Glacier Winds Whale Watching tours in ISP are 100% the best. They are expensive but I book them every time anyway. (Doubt DCL offers this, I always book independently.)

In Skagway, the dream is the Yukon adventure plus White Pass Railway back to town. Jaw-droppingly gorgeous vistas, lunch and snuggles with musher puppies, and the train? *Chef’s kiss*

I've wanted to do the DC tour in Ketchikan, so good to know it's worth it. I love seeing the bears with Kawanti.

Didn't see Juneau listed on the OP but eating at Deckhand Dave's is reason enough to go on the cruise, for me. The rest is just icing on the cake.

In Skagway, I loved Bennett Scenic Journey which I did with Chilcoot Charters. It’s similar to Yukon Adventure but you get more of the train portion (at Bennett Lake, which is stunning) and you don’t get the puppies.

I always said in Ketchikan I want to do a bear tour but I’ve not managed to do that yet because of the cost and/or time of year.

Oh and agree on Deckhand Dave’s at Juneau. It was so good!

I don't want to ruin anyone's fun, but I'm a professional helicopter pilot and categorically refuse to put my family on a flightseeing helicopter.

That said, the Ketchikan bear tour is awesome. You've never been so close to bears, or that many salmon either.

We used Temsco in Juneau to do a glacier hike in 2012. It was fabulous. We booked directly through Temsco who considered our 12 year a child, not an adult as Disney does. They also offered a decent discount (I think 10% off) for paying in full by the end of February. I only wish now that I had spent the extra money to do a longer stay on the glacier. It was expensive for a family of 4 so we only had about 30 minutes on the glacier.
