Thursday 11th March 2004
Weather: 72, warm. Light wind in the morning.
We had breakfast at the hotel and then headed off to a very quiet Downtown Disney Marketplace. The shops were still closed for another half hour so we had fun in the Lego playground and the children had a great laugh sitting with the Lego built old man that was sat snoring in the chair outside.
Kate and Tom bought a Minnie and Pluto hat and a Belle and Pluto top to wear to Cinderellas Royal Table breakfast tomorrow.

At 11.30 the children were hungry and so we took a look at the Rainforest Café which was still closed so we nipped back to Crossroads and had a quick bite in Jungle Jims. Two kids meals, a panini grilled sandwich, a big burger and fries and soft drinks all round $28 plus $4.50 tip. We popped into Goodings to buy something for tea, and some sunglasses for the children.
Having dropped everything off in the room we headed off to Typhoon Lagoon for the afternoon. Kate loved the huge wave pool and so I stayed with Tom in the slide area before we all headed off to the lazy river. It was fairly quiet in the park and became even more so as the afternoon progressed. We took a look at the coral reef with no queues and went back on the lazy river again! We were virtually the last to leave when the park closed at 5. It was a great time to go and, of course, the daytime heat was getting less not more at that time of day.
It took about 15 minutes to get back to the hotel and it wasnt a particularly quiet time of day. I thought that was very good for an off-site location.
Because we had the evening free I had a run in the hotel gym. I just couldnt mentally hack any distance on the treadmill, so I stopped at 5k and decided then that my 8 half marathon training runs just werent going to happen on this holiday. Lifes to short.
We had tea in our suite and got ready for our early start and long day tomorrow.
Breakfast at Cinderellas Castle and a full day at Magic Kingdom .
