Why are there so many, threads about Disney Food??? And why are they calling my name????

Well that's easy, because Disney food is mostly AMAZING, and because I have a serious food addiction :lmao::rotfl:

Since I know I am not alone in this obsession, every trip we take to the world (about once a year since we are DVC members now ), I sacrifice my waistline for the good of the DIS dining board. This trip I managed to gain 6 pounds in 10 days, You are welcome!

You are probably wondering why Kermit & Miss Piggy are in the thread title...well let me introduce you to the non-food stars of this report.

My DH, aka Kermit

He gets this nickname because he plays the banjo (no I'm not kidding) and because we always joke that he has a round belly and skinny legs like Kermit. He also does an awesome Kermit voice and looks good in green dontcha think? :thumbsup2
He is a meat and potatoes kinda guy, loves himself a steak. His food of choice though is chocolate. He loves chocolate more than any PMSing woman I have every met! It's a little scary the amount of oreos, milky way darks, and junior mints this guy can put away.

Now onto MUAH!

Let's just say I am an independent (not controlling, no Kermit NOT CONTROLLING) woman who tends to enjoy the spotlight. And let's face it, I have a Miss Piggy body type hahaha I love salty snacks like BACON :rotfl2:, soft pretzels with cheese dip, fries with cheese dip, nachos with cheese dip....did I mention I like that weird orange fake cheese stuff? It's a weird addiction I know. I also enjoy a good cupcake now and then but will most always take a salty snack over a sweet one (with the exception of a DOLE WHIP)

We also got together and produced two adorable muppets of our own

Our 3 yr old (we will call him Robin for DR purposes) enjoys the normal kid stuff like Chicken Nuggets, Fries, and Mac & Cheese but we only let him indulge in these vices once in a while (or while we are at Disney :goodvibes) He loves his apples, carrot sticks, and pasta too :thumbsup2

And the baby...well lets just say, he's like most men :thumbsup2 He has also ventured out into the realm of formula, avocados, and sweet potatoes recently. He seems to like it all and so far has no allergies :banana::banana:

Here are the places we ate ourselves silly at this time around

:woohoo: Great to have you!

We had a morning flight out of Providence on Thursday April 18th. It was 3 days after the Boston Marathon and everyone was on high alert. We saw lots of bomb sniffing dogs, extra police, and amped up security. As we got to the gate the fire alarms started going off! When has a fire alarm in an airport ever gone off???? Let's just say people looked PANICKED :scared: They soon came on the loud speaker to tell everyone it was just a test (oh great day to do a test, airport, thanks!)

So how should I relieve this extra stress? With a completely healthy self medication, food of course!

Anyone who lives in New England knows the importance of Dunkin Donuts Coffee. It is part of who we are here, it's one of those things that is just not as good outside of New England. So I of course had to indulge one last time before heading to the world of Mouse (and crappy coffee)

Ahhhhh Large Iced Coffee with 5 shots of whole milk, the nectar of the Gods I tell you! I also started my day with a bacon, egg, and cheese wrap and an order of hash browns. I always feel less guilty when I eat their hash browns because they are baked not fried, so they are SUPER healthy :thumbsup2 This hit the spot in my nervous tummy and we boarded the plane about 5 minutes later.

On the plane DH and I were still a bit nervous (which is unusual because we fly quite a bit) so we decided to use the free drink coupons Southwest had given us for a little vacation in a cup. Like I said, I have a really healthy habit of self medicating :thumbsup2

Neither of us drink that much (except on vacation, evidence to follow) so Kermit only drank half of his. They were yummy and made us just relaxed enough to deal with our two screaming Muppets on the plane. I'm pretty sure the people around us were drinking by the end of the flight too :rotfl2:

Coming up....Arrival at POR means lunch at the Riverside Mill popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

Great start. Looking forward to your Riverside Mill review as considering a stay at either POR or POFQ next year.

Joining in! I know what you mean about Dunkin' Donuts. In Canada we are like that with Tim Hortons. I live in a small town and we have about 6 shops here. You can't turn the corner without seeing one :thumbsup2
