We will be going to Kennedy Space Center next month and wondered if everything could be done in a day? Also, is there a place to have lunch, if so, what type of food and price ranges? Thanks for any input!

Yes, it can be done in a day. They have a couple of places to eat. Ranging from sit down meals to snack bars. They tend to be priced on the high side and food is just okay. Some resturants are: Orbit Cafeteria, Mila's Restaurant, New Frontier Cafe, Moon Rock Cafe at the Apollo/Saturn V Center and snack bar. They do have a program that you have to buy tickets for ahead of time call "Lunch with an Astronaut". They have an up close tour you pay extra for which ususally sells out ahead or time. There are 2 types of admission. Both include the 2 1/2 hour bus tour but one includes the Astronaut Hall of Fame (which is down the road)

You can do the Kennedy Space Center in a day but you can't really do the Astronaut Hall of Fame with it. I would recommend getting the NASA Up Close tour, you pay a little extra but it is worth the tour. I have done the basic tour and the Up Close one is a lot better. The food prices are your typical attraction type prices, higher then normal, but there isn't much choice. Plan on about $7-10 for food and drinks for lunch (pizza, hot dogs, etc).
