There is so much valuable information on this board. I often find myself wanting to refer back to things I've read on here but usually can't find what I'm looking for. The search button might as well be disabled because it is not at all helpful.

How do other people on here keep track of things that you might want to refer to later?

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I just bookmark threads I think I'll refer back to. I started out with a folder for "digital photography" in my bookmarks. Then when that got unmanageable due to the number of links it contained, I added one for "photography tutorials." I now also have folders for D300 stuff, Capture NX, Lightroom, etc. Every once in awhile I'll try to clean out the dead links, but I can usually find things when I need them.

Also, if you post on that thread, it will subscribe you to it. Then you can go up to the User CP in the upper right hand corner and see your subscriptions. Hope that helps you some.

Yup - that's what I mean. I do both of those things too. I am just wondering if anyone has any creative ideas for managing all of the great tips here.

Problem is, I would have hundreds of bookmarks if I did that for everything that is worth returning to! Plus, it's usually something I read but didn't bookmark that I am looking for.

I was just hoping that there might be some secret search tip that someone else might have.

i just ask again...annoying to many many many here, almost as bad as my excessive use of smilies....but it sometimes works :cool1:  :woohoo: :dance3: :yay: ( i need some exercise so I used the energetic icons if you notice)
