Hate bringing a cooler to the park just for milk. Has anyone ever used a yeti tumbler to keep milk cold?

When my kids were toddlers, actually I only had one that went at 15 mo, the other 2 were over 2. Anyways, they had their milk in the am and at night if they desired and during nap time/mid day break.

Otherwise it was water. I had used a soft sided cooler with an ice pack for the water in the August sun but I'd didn't want to risk it for milk.

It just scares me, bad milk.

yea my daughter drinks a cup after her first nap and a cup in the afternoon along with one before dinner. Contemplating on buying milk in Disney but not sure if they have any organic milk.

How old is she? My oldest was taking 2 naps before we did her first trip at 15 mo but that trip I stopped the am nap since we would of had to return to our room as I prefer her to lay down in the a/c.

I know they have soy milk since I have bought it. You can also bring down the small boxes of milk for her and those don't need to be kept cold. If she needed it in the park you could always ask for ice to cool it down and then put it in her cup if she uses one.

I agree - while it's a little more expensive, I would do the juice-box sized shelf stable milk. That's the only way I'd even try to bring in milk.

Yep. That's what I did. Mine is 8 but still likes to have milk before bed or a nap. Horizon organic pouches are almost always $1 at my store (that's the sale price but they always seem to be on sale), sometimes .75. They are shelf stable so no worries on temp.

For past trips we've stayed offsite. Most of our breakfasts and lunches were at the condo, so we'd have milk there. But for everthing else, we'd just bring a thermal sippy cup we used for water and would buy milk at the park as needed and put it in the cup. Much easier than trying to keep it cool in Orlando. :D

I got organic shelf stable milk boxes delivered to my room the last couple of trips. You can get them through amazon and also garden grocer. It worked great for us. They taste a little different than regular milk, so make sure you try them before you go.

I would also look for shelf stable milk that does not need to be kept cold but as PP said try it at home before your trip. we are looking at that if grandson is still on almond milk when we go this summer.

You can ask QS and first aid for ice and bring a small cooler for the milk. I did this when I was nursing to keep the milk cold. First aid is more picky think it's only for nursing moms to get ice but most QS will give you a cup or fill up a bag for you.

If you decide to do the boxed milk, try it at home first. I had a kid that would not drink them. Honestly I would just buy milk in the parks. You can get it at any CS place. I am quite frugal but when you are talking about a WDW trip, buying a few milks a day is really not a huge deal. I took disposable sippy cups for milk in the park. So easy and safe.

Love my Yeti cup, but I would be concerned that it would tip and spill. Even with the lid. It probably would keep it cold though! lol
I assume you have little ones, so I'm assuming you'll have a stroller. Just bring a mini soft sided cooler. We always rent from Orlando Stroller, and they give you this little cheapy soft sided cooler. I fill a ziploc with ice from the resort ice machine, and throw a few Diet Cokes in there. Works great!

I send my kids to daycare with a thermos that has a straw and is kinda like a sippy thermos. I would try the Horizon organic milk with straws if your child is old enough and likes it or just pick up milk, where they sell the the kids meals. I keep thinking the milk is 2% and I always give my kids whole milk. We didn't bother with packing milk, and did water, and they had their milk in the hotel before and after we went into the parks, and a few times we got milk at the restaurants with the kid meals. We brought an empty sippy cup and filled with water at restaurants as well. This year, I may bring some boxed or pouched juices.

to Cajun-country remember if you are taking juice boxes or pouches into Animal Kingdom they will take the straws as you enter the park as straws can kill the animals. I have had them take the straws from throw away sippy cups that were not attached to the lids

I don't think they checked our bags (too well) last time when we were there, but we didn't use them at Animal Kingdom because I had read that, and I remember them giving us the fancy straws for our milk :) I bring a toss and go sippy cup that has no straw though for plain water.

This, they are perfect. I used to send in DS lunch when he wanted milk.
True about no straws in AK, leave them behind and take a sipper cup.

Can't kids just drink a little less milk on vacation ? Wouldn't risk sour milk. And- never see organic there~
