Keeping cool?

Quite a while ago I remember reading on the boards about these things that you could wear around your neck to help keep you cool.

There was a website that sold them. They had a lot of cute Disney fabrics. I really want to get them and can't remember the website. Does anyone know what I am talking about??

I think the Misty Mate company makes those. I bought some a few years ago, but we really didn't care for them. Try googling Misty Mate, and you should find their website.

Wal-Mart carries them - usually in the sporting goods section. They don't have cute Disney designs, but they still work.

We used them last summer when we went to Sea World. I don't know if we did something wrong, but they ended up getting slimy, like the gel stuff was coming out of them. I thew them away after the trip, but they did help in keeping us cool. We got ours at Walmart for around $4 each.

I purchased some Disney ones online back in 2006. They worked great for August 2006. You do have to be careful not to oversoak them, or they do get "slimy". I don't have the website anymore where I ordered them from, but I did find this thru google.com

We use these O2cool mini fans and LOVE them!!! Even my DH who is always hot says that these really help keep him cool. We refill them at water fountains throughout the parks. We've used them for 2 trips and have not run out of batteries yet.

we use these pump style one that i bought at cvs. similar to misty mate, only smaller and about $7. everyone can cary their own if they want. we actually don't find summer to hot, but we live in fla so maybe we've gotten used to it. rides are ac, lines have fans. waiting for parades and get hot, but we normally bag afternoon parades in the summer. AK, however is the hotest darn place. I know Disney likes to be realistic, but does it really have to be Africa hot? I don't know why AK is so much hotter than other parks, but it is!
