Keep trying for a lower car rental rate!

A few weeks ago I had made a reservation through National for a Minivan using the "Priceless" discount code. On a lark today, I tried again without that code. I just selected Internet Specials at the top of the page. Oddly enough , I got a bottom line that was $16 less! The interesting thing is that on the lower rate reservation I had a line item called Concession Fee Recovery Charge at 9.8% which totalled another $28! I didn't have this line item on the original reservation. Can't figure that out.

So.... keep trying. Just because you think you have a good rental rate doesn't mean you shouldn't keep going back and trying again!

I couldn't agree more. I checked mine daily & also checked other rental agencies & found they continued to decrease up until around a week b4 my trip! So keep checking!!

That is because the original code you used waved that fee. When you clickd on specials it wiped out any codes you had used.
