I cant agree more. I believe that VMK is more then a game, as non-players might suggest. But I don't need to tell you all.
I am in advertising and I believe Disney could make a lot of money by keeping VMK open. They could charge similar rates as ToonTown and POTC Online and release more collectors cards which pulls guests into the parks. Cards could also be included in DVDs and other products.
Releasing movie and attraction items on VMK creates a buzz among those Disney wants to reach.
The Disney Company 2007 annual report states that they have a Commitment to social responsibility and particularly to the families and children who are our biggest fans.
Why would the The Disney Company turn off a site that could make them money while continue to be a great advertising tool? Maybe they need to look out of the box and see that this virtual world community is much more then a promotion.
