Keep ressie at RPH or try to switch to HRH?

We are staying for just one night at RPH in just a couple of weeks. I originally wanted to stay at HRH, but there wasn't any FL rate availability. So, since we are only staying one night, I booked us the cheapest room at RPH.

My DH and I stayed there in July and really liked it, but was hoping to try HRH this time around. This time we are travelling with our boys - 10, 8 and 5.

Should I spend the extra $ and switch to HRH (maybe $70 w/taxes) or keep my reservation at RPH? Will I have better luck getting a FL rate by calling instead of booking online?

I should also mention that we will be hitting both parks in one day.

Thanks for all the help!

I would call and speak to them directly...inquire about why HRH doesn't have any FL rates open?? If you have AAA, ask what that rate is..... Best thing would be to call and actually 'speak' to someone there....ask them their advice and see how they can help you.

This was the same question we asked last fall. We had previously stayed at RPR and loved it, but wanted to try HRH...just me, DH and DS9. I am so sorry that I did spend the extra money. The Hard Rock was nice, but definately not worth the extra money for us.

The pool was nice, but really really busy. There was good food at the pool bar, but I just felt that the Hard Rock did not live up to my expectations.

They JUST listed the new 10% off rates for FL residents & when I called to update my reservation for 3/11 - 3/15 the person helping me said there was no availability for that rate (at RPR)

AAA rate was available though (until 3/13 - the up goes the price again)

Oh well :(
