Anyway, my mom and I have been going yearly to the parks in WDW in Florida. however i found it a tad boring because i done the rides the year before, but kind of freaked out on the haunted mansion, (because of my depression.)

So if you are one to go every year how do you keep from being bored with everything?

Can't give you an answer as to why it doesn't get boring..........I can only say that after 35+times in 19 years it hasn't. Going again in March!!

I can't answer it either, but I have a suggestion for you. Everytime we go - and we go twice a year - I do all kinds of research to find hidden treasures. In fact I was there for two weeks in August, and I think I went on one "ride". Iwent to CoP for the first time, and rode the PeopleMover, too! We found the waterfalls in World Showcase, and rode the train to Rafaki's Conservation Station...just to mention a few. Search the boards and you will find all kinds of things to help you keep the magic in your trips!

As you can see by my signature we have been to Disney quite a few times and I am hoping to convince DH to go again in November. Anyway, we do somethings as kind of a tradition like not going into any parks the first day. On our check in day we usually walk around and check out the resort a bit, then head to Downtown and check out some of the shops, then we head back to our room to get ready for dinner (we usually book a character meal for the first night like Chef Mickeys). We head to bed at a decent hour so we can start bright and early the next morning.

What we do to combat any boredom we may feel is we try to change things up a bit. We make every effort to try at least 1 new restaurant each trip, just to try something new. We also try to do different parades or shows each trip mixed in with some favorites because we purposely don't do every single parade every single trip (kind of save something for the next time). We do plan the trip to some extent especially because of dining ressies but, we also kind of do things as the mood strikes us rather then just strictly following a schedule. For example one night we decided to skip returning to a park after dinner at Cape May Cafe and decided to just stroll along the boardwalk and check things out. We have gone to Poly just to sit on the beach and catch up on our day while watching the fireworks.

We love Disney so bored has never really been an issue but, like I said we mix things up a bit so maybe that's why.

We try to do something new/different each trip.

Some things we've done:
1) MVMCP
2) La Nouba
3) Illuminations Celebration Cruise
4) sleigh ride at WL
5) boat rentals at CBR & the POLY
6) mini-golf
7) just about every character meal
8) DVC Welcome Home Wednesday
9) manicures at the BC salon
10) Poly Luau
11) Hoop de Doo
12) rent surrey bikes

Looking forward to the Epcot Segway tour this June!

Have you taken any of the tours? They night give you a new perspective on the parks and probably some insight on new things to look for when you're there. We haven't taken any yet but we're looking forward to taking the Wild By Design Tour at AK in March and sometime in the future the Keys to the Kingdom Tour in the MK.

I have been to WDW when my DD was 5, 7, 8 and going when she is 10, so each time the park is new to us since she sees things differently, so maybe that is one reason it is never boring?

But I agree with the other posters, the more I know about the parks, the more I enjoy them. Learn about the small things, then you see them and then the park is more than the rides.

Another fun tour even if it doesn't sound that interesting, is "Behind the Seeds" in the Land in EPCOT. It is very reasonsable by Disney standards, and even my DD at 7 really liked it.

Good luck.

We have been going 3-4 times a year for the past 5 years. We always find something new to do each time, and something that we haven't done to look forward to next time. Maybe try new restaurants, or new snacks. Or start taking some unique pictures as you stroll around.

Personally I feel if you are asking yourself this question you need to not go to WDW and choose another vacation site.

If you are finding it boring maybe you need something entirely different for your vacation. However if you are a Disney fan and need something different maybe try a Disney cruise??

Take a break from the Parks and check out the other Resorts!

I plan on doning more of this the next trip I take! This last time I was at the BoardWalk Villas so I walked around and checked out all the other Epcot area Resorts.

I have an idea. Don't go. Sometimes we all need a break. Hopefully your Mom can go with someone else.

Not sure how to answer your question - I think it might be a matter of different personalities. I guess I'm just one of those people who sort of like repetition! I re-read my favorite books, watch favorite movies over and over, and love to go to WDW, even though I've been there several times before. I can ride my favorite ride (Soarin') several times a day, and it never gets boring to me. I just love to experience my favorite things over and over. Plus, there's such a wonderful, fun feeling at WDW -- the "magic!"

To me, there's so much to do at WDW that I still haven't done (touring the different resorts, renting a watermouse boat, some of the behind-the-scenes tours) that there's no way I'd ever truly get bored.

Have you ever considered going to Disneyland? I went in HS in the 90s, but in January 2010, we went for the first time as a family and it was magical. It was like discovering WDW for the first time. And there is nothing like knowing you walked where Walt Disney himself walked and imagined his playground!

We didn't even get to see half of it. There are twice as many rides in the Magic Kingdom at Disneyland, Downtown Disney is totally different and there is also California Adventure. We're going back to Disneyland this year again - I can't wait!

Just a thought.....if you are finding it boring you might want to take a break from Disney for a while.

While we have never found it boring, we do try to do different things every trip. We stay at different resorts, eat at different restaurants, travel at different times of the year so we can take advantage of different special events, and participate in different tours/activities.

I never get bored with WDW. Can't explain it, don't understand it, but just don't get bored with it.

I think my lack of boredom has something to do with WDW being the only part of my life where I can suspend reality and walk into a completely different world than the norm. And I really like the feeling of being in a different world!

We do a bunch of different things, most of them already mentioned, but here are a few more:

When my daughter and niece were tweens, they developed surveys for our group and were constantly polling us and giving us results.

We might play with our cameras and take interesting pictures, either of the line area or unusual things

Play, "What would you rather do?"

Hi! As PPs have said, we do something new each trip, so it is not the same trip every time. We try new restaurants, in addition to our old favorites. We have done 3 tours. We try new attractions, in addition to our favorites. We have done one "party". We stay at different resorts. We have done spa treatments at GF and SS. (Yes, I learned about all of the by reading the DIS!!!!!!)

But I have never found it boring. Again, it is my happy place and I feel relaxed and wonderful each time we go. And I get excited thinking about going and planning the various activities.

So if you are not that interested in going to Disney again, maybe you and your mom can agree on another vacation destination? Seems silly to spend money on a trip that you aren't excited about. Just a thought.

After multiple trips, I have to plan around the...I won't call it boredom, but rather repetition. There are still rides and attractions we have not seen, so I always work in something new. If a ride line is too long and we don't have FPs for whatever reason, it is easy to forego a ride *this* trip. Our resort time has increased considerably. I grew up in a pool, swam every day, and find a day at the pool to be relaxing, restful and luxurious, especially with the fabulous theming. We have taken extra people on our last two trips. I do a survey and ask what THEY prefer to do and we enjoy seeing the World through their newbie eyes. My trips are more relaxing now that I don't feel I have to do everything in one trip...my commando days are over and my feet are SO glad. If I ever DO get bored, I will skip a year or two and find somewhere else to go.
