Just got off the phone with her a little while ago.. She saw the surgeon yesterday and they will be performing the exploratory surgery sometime within the next two to three weeks.. (She's currently out on disability..) This doctor is very hopeful that she can do something less drastic than a hysterectomy.. She's expecting to find endometriosis - as well as a problem with the left ovary - and if in fact those are the trouble spots, she'll take out the one ovary, scrape away as much as of the endometriosis as she can and she then advises that DD attempt to get pregnant again as soon as she has recovered.. (The doctor doesn't want to risk letting too much time go by in case the infection or endometriosis should re-develop..) The doctor is fairly confident that if DD gets pg right away she'll not suffer anymore miscarriages and if the problems should return later on then they'll discuss the possibility of a hysterectomy once again..

This doctor seems much better than the other one - who basically was just throwing her hands up in the air and saying, "Well I can't figure it out! Might as well just do the hysterectomy and be done with it.."

So - that's the latest! Will let you all know when she has the surgery.. Meanwhile, thanks for the prayers and PD..

Great news, c.ann. I hope it all turns out the way she wants it. Endo is a bear to live with, my Dr could not believe how bad mine was when he looked and lasered it out. It came right back, too, but I am a lot older than your DD, usually the older you get, the worse it is.

So here's to a grandchild! Lots of PD and positive thoughts for you and the DD.
