Does anyone know what the height requirement is for the bike ride at Science City in Kansas City?

You know, I don't really remember. I don't think I saw little kids on it. Sorry I can't be more help and it looks like their website is down.

I don't know the exact heighth but I do know that when I took my 2nd graders most of them were too short. Now I teach 3rd and they were all tall enough to ride. So I would say an average 8-9 year old.

Younger DD has a late birthday - going into 3rd grade but still just 7. Fingers crossed she is tall enough. Maybe 48"? That's what most cool thrill rides are at amusement parks (until 54"). She will be OK at 48".

The only reason I even ask .... I took my older daughter there a few years ago (now 11 yr old so I knew she would be good to go) and that is all she has talked after the trip (wished she was tall enough) and that's all she asks about for our upcoming trip - being able to ride the bike she wasn't tall enough for our last trip there! So, hoping they can both ride it. I think she was in 2nd grade now that I think about it!

Also, my cousin's son (also going into 3rd) wants to go with us (he lives there) and was wondering if he was tall enough for the bike. Funny how they all focus on that darn bike!

I tried calling today but couldn't figure out how to get through to them with the maze of press 1 for this, 2 for that!

I would guess 48" is pretty good guess. I do know that they are not consistent with it. So if one doesn't let you go, you can always check when a different person is running it. I saw many little ones going. I know that on a roller coaster you would never want to do that on a roller coaster where safety is an issue but in this case there is a net below that it doesn't matter how tall you are, it will catch you. I think this has more to do with being able to reach the peddles.

Good luck!

My 8 year old son just did this 2 weeks ago and I cannot remember the exact height. He is 54" and was tall enough, but my youngest was not at 46". I want to say it was higher than 48" though - maybe 50" or 52". I think it is more geared to kids over 8 based on the height requirement.
